Has anyone here already started planning for opening night? Have you asked for the 21st off so you can see the midnight viewing? Are you gathering others to do the same.

My friends and I (ahem our coven, all newborns turned by me Wink ) are planning on taking the 21st off so we can see the midnight viewing. We are planning a small party premovie to stock up on blood...er uh...martinis and snacks and fun stuff. We also plan on doning our best twighlight swag (purchsed or otherwise made by us) as well as making ourselves more vampiric for public display (did I mention we have lost our minds?) We are planning on lots of photos so when my son is older I can embarass him...lol.

So I am wondering if anyone else have such plans?

My group of friends and I (our Vampy-Book-Club) are planning to go out for food and drinks before the midnight showing. Since we all plan to see it more than once (we are pretty sure hyperventilation will make a second viewing almost immediately necessary...) I really should suggest that we take the next day off of work for personal days so we can sleep in and then get up to do it all over again! Smile

We've already got a section talking about movie get togethers, so I'm going to move the thread there. http://twilightmomsforums.freeforums.org/twilight-movie-premiere-parties-f123.html
Thank you!

My duaghter and I are already trying to plan what to wear so we can make sure we order it in enough time to have it for the movie. I'm trying to gather as many people as possible to commit to the midnight showing and party it up beforehand. This should be awesome!!

I've got five or six of my staff excited for setting up and running a Twilight Prom before the movie starts. One of my other managers even offered to DJ and make it more prom-like.

I'd call your local theaters, and see if they're doing anything fun. Mitch Hansen will be at the prom in Oregon, we'll be selling the TwiRock (i believe that's what they're calling it) CDs, the soundtrack, if I can get my hands on it, and some T-shirts if I have to make them myself. XD

I am toying with the idea of getting a room in NYC for the night. I have a few people coming in from different areas. I live in NJ. And we want to party the night away before and after the movie. It just might be more convient to get a room so we don't have to travel back to NJ. It's a new idea so we will see on cash flow closer to the day.

It's exciting [as the date moves closer] that we can actually start making realistic plans!
