The most vivid seen to me is when Jake finds Lois's mother dying. I am a big animal lover and the scene was necessary, but disturbing to me. I don't like the death of any animal or human. Also, in that scene is where Jake saves Lois and the adventure begins.

The most vivid for me is when Jake is on top of Bud and he is face to face with Major Handley , who is in the helicopter. I can so picture Jake waving and shouting. I can hear the propellers.

For me, I was able to picture myself as Jake when he found Lois' dying mother. I could see the connection between the two and then understand the one way thought process of saving the dragonlet. Even though as a mother of three, I can already understand Jake's emotions of saving Lois.

I think the most vivid scene for me is when he finally makes contact with Gulp and then hears the radio...especially when he is held "captive" in the caves.

For me it was when Bud picked up Jake to take him to Gulp who was giving birth. It truly touched me, because I took this as the dragons' way of making things right with Jake...how they would like his horrible experience seeing Halcyon dying with her dragonlets turned into something positive by showing him how dragon birthing usually happens.
It was also their huge way of thanking him for rescuing Lois, in spite of the "anti-rescue laws".
For me, it truly illustrated how goodness comes around when we practice it.

Great choice. That was truly one of the most touching and beautiful scenes in the book.

For me, it was when Bud takes Jake to Gulp and the babies. I found myself shedding a tear! While I had pictured dragonlets earlier when Lois was found....it finally became really clear in my head at that point and I could picture the clearing, the "blobs"/dragonlets.

I agree. Gulp having her babies was the most vivid.
It was also my favorite part.

Ditto. The scene of the dragon's being born was very vivid. Also some of the earlier scense when Jake was getting burned by Lois stick out in my mind. The pain he was enduring because he had to take care of her and his zombie like state from lack of sleep.
