I never really have written down what my favorite part is although I have always known. I surprise myself when I think about it. I would think I would choose the Meadow or Empasse or something like that but I always think of the car ride home from Port Angeles. Its the first time the walls are down. The first time Edward is totally weak and vulnerable. Its the first time they are both intimate with each others hearts. How fresh the emotions are and how intense the feelings , although nothing beats the emotions of the plane ride home in New Moon. For me in Twilight, its the car ride home. I am a bit heart broken because I dont think they use that scene in the movie. They tweek it. I really really love the car ride home.

I agree. There's a big difference in the mood established between driving 90 mph in the dark vs. standing in an eerily quiet forest. I liked the whole rushing towards destiny feel in the book. I hope we don't lose too much of that.

It is true but I bet is hard to film the scenes in the dark in the car and get the same effect it will get when they are talking out in the woods with all the scenery around them.

I love the entire book. My heart races, and I forget that it is fiction. It seems so real.

I like the meadow scene, but the mind tampering is very sweet and funny, too.

I also like the part where they are watching the movie in biology. The tension is so real!!

I really enjoyed the deleted chapters from Stephanies website, too. The shopping with Alive, extended prom scene, and Emett and the bear. They are priceless!!! If you haven't checked them out, you should.

Tell me about it. When I revamp Twilight I find myself racing to the Port Angeles chapter.

Well my favorite part is definitely Confessions then moving right into Mind Over Matter, but I would have to say that my very favorite line ever in the book is on page 294. . .

"Don't be self-conscious," he whispered in my ear. "If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I'm not ashamed of it."

*sigh*

Wow--how to pick just one moment? I think it would have to be the first time Edward spends the night after the day in the meadow. He is more relaxed and happy than we have ever seen. He has proven to himself that he is strong enough to be around her without killing her. I like happy Edward.

Part of this is selfish though, I have to admit. We have all seen the first teaser trailer for the movie, when before Edward jumps out the window with Bella and he gives her that smile? Well, I imagine Rob smiling and laughing through that first night and my heart starts racing.
