Hey Guys,
Have you ever had one of those where everything that can go wrong probably did, and you wish for nothing more than to be able to start it all over again?

Here's mine:Yesterday was to be my last day at work as I am taking a mini vacation. After working 6 days a week for three months I am finally able to walk away, turn my phone off, and just enjoy life. My last day started 'lovely' when I walked into my store and realized that the electricity was out. Got that fixed.

Than, I got a call telling me that the staffing help that I was to get so that I could lessen my hours and go back to working 5 days a week instead of 6, wouldn't be able to start until the middle of April. I swear I was going to walk out the door just than to never return.

On the way home from work, my car cut off on me. In the middle of traffic. Busted timing belt. It won't be fixed until this Friday which is my birthday.

Than there were lots of little things in between that are too many to list. I was mentally ready to just give up on the world and lay in bed under my quilt until the year past, but I knew that Edward wouldn't want that. hehehe! So, I'm doing yesterday over again today... Does anyone have any similar 'day from hell' stories?

Yesterday was a little like that. We just bought a used van for our family to get around and we've only had it a week. I went to my doctor's visit yesterday and for some reason set the parking break. When I left I forgot to release it (I think the sudden snow storm in late March distracted me). I noticed it on the next level of the parking garage. I went to release it, kept driving, but the light was still on. I parked to determine what I did wrong. I realized I pulled the hood popper instead of the break release. I release the break, keep driving. Then I notice the battery light on the dash. WHAT?? Pull over again, get out and close the hood, but the light is still on. Turn off the car and wait a minute, turn it on, the battery light is off, thank goodness. But then it took me a minute to find where the defrost switch was.

I got home and went to my neighbor's...my daughter was playing over there and they were listening to my baby monitor during my son's nap while I saw my doctor. I went home and saw a voice message from a friend who was walking home from somewhere and got caught in the snow storm. Go back over to the neighbor's so she can listen to the monitor again because my son was still asleep. I just didn't understand why my friend didn't call me on the cell phone, because I had already been out driving when she called. I tried to start my van and the key stuck! I couldn't get it to turn whatsoever, for like 3 minutes. My panick was mounting because of what the van had already put me through that afternoon. I finally dialed my husband on the cell phone and it suddenly turned. Oye. I went and retrieved my friend from the thrift store she was hiding in to warm up/wait out the snow. It was a little exasperating, but bearable.

Hopefully today's much more calm.

I swear when it rains it pours, but positive thinking(sometimes really hard to do) wins out in the end. I wish you a super day today!

I went to my GP and he gave me a book Power vs. force by david hawkins which lead me to the power of now by eckhart tolle, which took me to change your thought change your life by wayne dwyer.... any one of those books could change your life.... I am serious... instead of having bad days, i realize that each event is there to help me.. there are no problems in the now only situations

I get that, really I do.

But would someone please tell me how to make the #*$&#@^$ clutter in my house disapper? It is driving me insane. I clean one room, walk into another, and the clean room is turned into a disaster in approximately 4.8 seconds!

Really, is there a secret everyone forgot to tell me?

Okay, so I'm not really venting, but more just annoyed.

I was trying to "convert" one of my co-workers. I told her about the books and she said she would try them. I told her all of the names, including which one goes first. She likes to get the audio books from the library because she listens to them when she's driving and at work. She comes up to me the other day and tells me that she got Eclipse from the library. I was like, what?! I said that's the last one, you can't start with that! She said that the other one's had too many people before her and she didn't want to wait. I just told her you really can't start with Eclipse because there is so much that happens before then. I am seriously annoyed with this. Is that wrong? She tells me yesterday that she was at the part where they find out about Rosalie's history. She then asks me if we ever find out about how Edward changed. I was like (rolls eyes), yes, you find out about all of them. UGH! I'm just like, it's not even worth it if she's reading them backwards!

I know, I'm so annoyed! I told her so many times that she can't do that! She said it will all click once she reads them all, but that's still not the point. UGH!

I've been searching for the EW also. I just found out that our Borders has it now, so I'm heading over there in about 45 minutes to pick up a couple of copies.

My housemate is just getting on my nerves more and more, thank goodness its only 9 days until I am moving out! He was showing the room to someone today, he's known this since at least yesterday, but instead of saying something yesterday he knocks on my door as I'm sleeping in on a Saturday morning and wakes me up, oh I thought you'd left, why the french toast would I have left for the day at that hour, wouldn't you rather assume I was asleep? Also he constantly sings, hums, talks to himself when I am here, yeah I get it you have to be comfortable in your house, but ever heard of consideration to other people who are PAYING to live there? I sing and say stupid stuff, but not when he is here, I save my fits of madness for my alone time! haha

Ok I'm a bit calmer now just 9 days left with him, praise be!

Well, when you get the secret, pass it on to me please!! My hubby doesn't understand why I go on strike to clean some of the rooms in our house. Why should I clean it if it's just going to get messy the next day. If I don't clean it, then the mess is already there, and I've just saved the kids some trouble...how about that!? It's very frustrating.

And I like the Phyllis Diller quote. :)

Why am I the ONLY person in my house who knows how to take out the trash? Huh? Why? Seriously, I thought men were supposed to take on that job! I mean, that's why I got married, so I'd never have to take out the trash!

;)

It's sad... I agree. I have had to resort to killing my own spiders too. That's just not right!
I guess the fast that my hubby does laundry and is a great cook, balances it for me.
However, I get the biggest kick out of holding up the garbage bag, pretending its too heavy and playing the damsel in distress routine. If you make it really pathetically horrible acting, it usually works wonders. Maybe he does it just so that I will stop. Anyway, give it a try and let me know!

I always tell my kids that one of these days I'm going to wait until they've worked really hard to clean their room and then I'm going to go in and dump stuff in it to mess it all up again. It's how I feel about cleaning a room and then having it absolutely destroyed a few minutes later.
