exactly, I think that if she were another mindless fashion slave she would be more lauren and jessica than bella, ya know.
I totall agree another reason to love bella _________________

| Bella's a simple girl with simple tastes. If I had to dress for rain daily, I probably wouldn't dress to the nines either.

Go for it.
My daughters stuff takes up a lot more space in my house than she is aware of. Once she gets married, I'm going to find keeping up with the house a breeze. She thinks she's very neat, but no one else sees her that way. _________________ Do you ever think that your life might be easier if you weren't in love with me?
Maybe. It wouldn't be much of a life, though.

i think that's the beauty of Bella. she doesn't have to dress all trendy and pretty. plus, if she did worry about things like that, she wouldn't be so "bella" now would she? And it's also so much better, since Edward loves her so much despite her fashion sense. And i don't picture her as a slob, just casual and comfy. But, it was nice of Alice to take her on, but at the same time Alice kind of annoys me..especially in BD. the closet??? seriously... _________________

I think that now Bella's been turned that she does pay a little more attention to her wardrobe. When she's at home with the family she still dresses comfortably. But both times she left the house in BD to go see the shifty lawyer guy she dresses "the part" so to speak.
Oh and on the honeymoon even she was already starting to care what she was wearing to try and focus Edward's attention to her rather than snorkeling and other activities. _________________

I didn't even notice that her attire had becmoe more fashionable but you are right. I revampied book 3 (except for the almost battle scene) and she did dress more fashionably. I guess that since she chose jeans and a sweat shirt after her first night as a changed woman I keep invisioning her as more old bella but I was wrong. _________________

Bella didn't choose her clothes that second day as a vamp. Edward did. He sniffed out jeans and a cotton shirt for her. He knew her tastes and found something she could be comfortable in. Plus, I think he liked her casual style (even if the human part of him liked the black lacy thing). _________________ Lauralee

I loved the wardrobe by Alice scene in their cottage!! But I love clothes and trends even in my Mommy Stage of life. I would think her style would evolve into something comfortable but elegant...in her own way...still in jeans but perhaps a nicer top???!???! _________________

for somme reason I don't ever see bella developing an affinity for stelletos. I can see her in a lot of different types of looks but never in 4 inch stelletos like at prom. thats the one thing that just doesn't fit her. she went from clumsey bella to mom bella naybe thats why I don't see her as a siren even though she looks like a "super model" _________________

I love how Bella dressed. I think it fits her perfectly. She's a down to earth girl; she's not pretencious and doesn't need to follow silly fashion trends. Besides she lives in Forks and it would be impractical to dress to the nines when she would have to wear a raincoat over her clothes. And stillettos? Puh-lease! It's too rainy there for anything but sensible shoes! And her comfortable dress makes her more charming. I think if she was so vain about her clothes and appearance, she wouldn't have appealed to Edward (or Jacob or the other guys who liked her) _________________

I found it very out of character for Bella in Breaking Dawn to dress so fashionably. It was also out of character for Edward to allow Alice to dress bella in a silk dress and stelletos immediately following her change since he always wants to do what he feels will make Bella happy. I'm all for looking your best, but you can dress nicely and still be yourself. I think it would have been better if Bella kept her casual sense of style but just kicked it up a notch to casual but elegent. _________________

When I think of Bella's clothing after the change, I think of the ending of TW. Alice dressed Bella for prom in a blue dress and heels. When asked, she confided to Edward that she thought they were going to be doing the change and he laughs that she thinks it would be a formal affair. Fastforward to BD and Bella's dressed formally. To me it was a full circle moment. _________________ Lauralee

I so agree, about it being a full circle moment!! And like anyone would be able to argue with Alice about something like that?? LOL! I seem to remember Edward saying that Alice dressed them all, and they weren't allowed to were anything twice or something to that effect...can't recall the the reference at the moment, but that thought came to my mind... _________________ Tobey
