I'm in Edgewood, if you know where that is; if not, it's kind of the north hill of Puyallup.

I have a question for the WA TMs Very Happy

My family and I are planning a family trip out to WA in July. Is that a good time to travel to Washington (as in will there be some sun?)?

We'll probably only be in the Seattle area for two days (towards the end of the trip). We were hopinf to drive thru Port Angeles and to Forks for some hiking and River Rafting through the Hoh Rainforest. We'll also spend one night over in La Push. Does anyone have any suggestions for activities in the area (if you've been there)? It will be just me, hubby, and our 6 year old son.... Thanks!!

In my opinion, July and August are the best times to visit Seattle. August seems to have the sunniest days. Of course the Cullens would probably not be around on those days. Very Happy They'd probably be "out of town camping". Anyway, I haven't been to Forks or La Push yet, but hope to get there myself sometime soon, so I can't help you with activities in the area. I'd probably find myself a sunny, secluded meadow and sit and daydream about a gorgeous vampire that glitters in the sun....Oh sorry...got a little carried away Laughing

LOL! Well, I'd probably walk along the shores of First Beach holding hands with hubby and pretending he's Jacob *ROFL* Just as well. Hubby is Native American so it's easy to lose myself in THAT fantasy *sigh*

Thanks for the info on July being a good time to visit Seattle! We're actually planning a whale watching tour out of Seattle that takes us up to San Juan Island. I hope we see smoe whales...

Nice to hear about another Jacob fan as well. I call myself team switzerland because I love Edward and Jacob. I tell my friend, "there's just something about that "Badboy" werewolf! But Edward...sigh.... I'd want the best of both worlds. So, after daydreaming in the meadow, I'd head over to the beach to daydream there as well!

Back to reality. The San Juan Islands are beautiful. I hope you are successful in seeing some whales. A friend of mine went kayaking there and was just yards away from some orcas!

They have all sorts of hiking and camping all through there. Just do an internet search to for La Push, WA. and Forks, WA.

I will be there this weekend, we are not camping just doing our own book site seeing. I did see that on the Forks website that they are now going to be doing "twilight" tours from Forks to First Beach.

I'm in Bellingham. Just moved here six months ago from West Seattle.

Anyone want to get a big group of us together to see the movie when it comes out? Which, BTW, I'm freaking out because I just heard they bumped up the release date by a few weeks! YAYYYY!!!

I have no one to go with (my hubby doesn't want to see it), and it would be a blast to actually see it with others who are as obsessed as I am! I don't mind driving to Seattle or the Eastside or wherever, really. But I do think it would be awesome to get a big group together. Thoughts?
