The perfumed book think is so great! In high school, there was a cologne I liked. So I bought it for my brother and made him wear it just so I could smell it. I never thought of putting it on something I could carry around with me. _________________ Lauralee

Oh, it's great when you're reading because every time Bella mentions Edward's scent you can just be there with her by taking a big sniff...It's wonnnn-derrrr--fullllll. (big sigh.....) _________________

I need to go scent shopping so I can buy a bucketload of Edward and douse everything I own with it. |
Haha! I know - I want to find the perfect scent and then spray the books with it. Not that that would be weird and obsessively crazy or anything, right? |
Not obsessive in the least! I've done that with my Twilight and my Eclipse books. I decided on "Fierce" by Abercrombie and Fitch. I love the scent as I read. It makes it so more... ...
Anyhow, I did not spray NM because there really isn't enough of Edward in that book and I'd feel like I were being disloyal. Perhaps I'll spray a tissue and lightly wipe the pages where he appears. That might just work...But, as far as I'm concerned, it's not at all obsessive. |
Well I finally made it over to the mall and sniffed up a storm in Bath and Body Works (including "sensual amber") and then went over to A&F to try out "Fierce". I got continuous weird looks from the sales help as I sprayed a men's cologne on myself, but I have to say InnamorataDiTwilight that I am sold on "Fierce"! I sprayed a spare receipt I had in my bag and it still smells great - and the way it settled on my wrist smells great too. Now I want to buy a bottle to spray Twilight and Eclipse (and from page 400+ of NM). Great find!!
Also, another TM told me about "softlips" - it's a kind of lip balm and they sell it in Target and Walmart. I just bought some (she recommends the cherry flavor) and it's great because when first applied it makes your lips really cool and tingly - very Edwardian, lol! _________________ "I am purely full of joy, because I am missing nothing. Cordelia, ^ glad you found your Edward scent. And yes, I know what you mean. I had salespeople directing me to the women's perfumes. "And perhaps you'd like to try this fragrance" as if they were being freaked out by me wanting to buy a man's cologne. If they only knew... At the time (it was early May) my son was getting ready for his prom so I figured I could excuse buying a man's cologne for him. His sister and I made him wear it. Had to justify buying it somehow. It's now in my Edward collection of things so that when the scent on the books is faint, I reapply.
Must try the lip balm though. Sounds yummy. Wonder if my hubby would mind putting some on.... Hmmmm. _________________

| hee hee--i just walked over to cvs to find the softlips to try it out! they had vanilla too so i nabbed that--the vanilla isn't as tingly, but it reminded me of something tinglier, so when i got home i dug through all my lip balms (they migrate, so i can never find one when i need it and i have to buy another) and there it was--burt's bees lifeguard's choice! it's super minty tingly! so i put that on first and the vanilla on top and it works alright! now if i just had some clove gum....and i'm sure by now ya'll have seen the vampire ice lip butter! can't wait to try!
