Did you fall right away, or was it more like how Bella did?
One day you're just finding yourself reading all the good Jacob stuff?

My first read thru, it took me untill the tent scene in Eclipse to go oh! I have really come to like this guy.
The second read thru- When he first shows up in New moon - OH, I really like this guy.
and so on and so on, to now I love him -almost- as much as Edward.

Rhonda, this is exactly how it was for me. Though I loved the confrontation between him and Mike in the movie theater - I was loving Jacob then, but still wanted Edward back. I have to admit though, when I read NM the 2nd time I really wanted Bella to kiss him right before she saw Carlisle's car in the drive way --- I know, crazy - but he kind of deserved some lovin from her :) Not that he deserved to be "teased" by any which way or form, but he was so good to Bella -- I felt really bad for him when he had to start fighting for her. But then he got really immature about it and that bothered me --- but I liked him more the second time around way more than the first time. I felt so bad for him in the end of Eclipse --- so bad!

And once again...being honest....I DO REALLY want to hear that Jacob has a happy ending...he needs it, and so does Bella.

I agree with you 100%

I fell for him as soon as Bella started hanging out with him! I thought he was a cute friend for her in Twilight... but "fell head over heels" for him in New Moon... and then during Eclipse I was crying for him and wondering why Bella was so blind. Lol!!

Okay, my first time through the series it went like this...Twilight-liked him. New Moon-LOVED him. Eclipse-Hated him. But the more I read it the more I love him! I'm understanding him better, I guess.

I waited until my friend had read all 3 books and asked her in the end about the Jacob/Bella relationship. She told me she was very happy Bella didn't pick Jacob because he's too good for her. I busted out laughing. I concur.

As much as I hated Jake's heart being broken, I was relieved.

Well in my fantasy world, if I were Bella, I'd choose Jacob, but I tend to like big, beautiful, bold with a smidgen of sensitivity all served with a set of pearly whites. ^_~ But when I give my head a shake...;-).....here is how I view it. Let's watch these two actors -- Robert and Taylor-- and see what kind of acting skills they bring to the characters. I think we may all find we change our minds depending on their performances and what they can make us believe. I don't think either of these actors have really been given an acting opportunity to 'stretch' their skills in this regard. So the question remains will they/can they deliver? Insight into Taylor Lautner's possibilties may lie in the showmanship and passion he displays as a 10/11 yr old in a karate competition (view these videos on Youtube) indicates to me he can deliver the goods. Turn up the heat boys -- I can't wait!

Jake 'had' me by the time I finished New Moon - it was cinched by the time I finished Eclipse. :D
He reminds me SO much of a person I dated a few times years (and years) ago. The personality and the passion that Jake possesses (I DO realize he is a fictional character) has really struck a chord with me.

I remember thinking, "Cute kid, I wish you had better taste" when he first appeared on the beach in TW. When Billy sent him out in the rain to look for that non-existent photo, I was "awwww... cho chweet!". By the prom, I was like, "If only I had one of these Jacobs handy!" <<< My I LIKE phase

NM was where my adoration for him and the Quileutes was cemented. However, NM was also where I came to dislike Bella. <<< My I LOVE phase

EC was pure heaven everytime Jacob showed up.<<< My I LOVE AND LUST phase

I am right there with you sister!
Given the right set of circumstances, the kissing scene in EC can really get my blood boiling...

IMO - there IS a fine line b/w PASSION and LUST.
LUST - is pretty much an 'animal' force - any time, any place , (any one?) someone to 'scratch the perverbial itch.'
PASSION - something indescribable that just seems to put you both in the same place, same time, same moment that just takes your breath away. A 'whoa... where did THAT come from!'moment.
AAAAH - sweet memories....

It's getting warm in here - time to get another cup of coffee!! :)

The first time Bella started talking about his smile in NM. I think of Steven Strait's smile everytime Jake smiles, because, like SS I bet that he smiles with his entire face, not just his mouth.

I like Jacob butnot for Bella.

He needs to move on.

Edward is her soulmate and she knows she cannot live without him. She can live without Jacob even though she will have sadness. It will fade.

That's what I was thinking too! I mean the whole thing about Jake smiling with his whole face and not just his mouth. I can just see those facial lines around his mouth as he smiles widely and his eyes twinkling - like he's the happiest guy on earth! *swoon*

I have to say when I read Twilight the first time I didn't like Jacob at all. Then in New Moon through the whole Jacob section I was wishing it to be over and wanting Edward back. Then Edward returns and I was missing Jacob. And then in Eclipse I totally loved Jacob and wanted Edward to disappear.

I've reread Twilight and New Moon. This time around I love Jacob even more, of course. But I'm starting to warm up to Edward again. We'll see how I feel after Eclipse again.

Either way, I do love Jacob.

I feel exactly the same way! The more I read, the more I fell for Jacob as opposed to Edward, Not that I don't love Edward too, but Jacob feels more real and honest to me.
