Haha - so true!

I'm sure they watch the news every day and read the papers too - they've arranged their lives so that they are all actively engaged in the human world and, as Shimmerskin said, it would keep them aware of any major vampire disasters/murders, etc.

Horses are so skittish I doubt they would let a vampire anywhere near them - their instincts would say "run!" :)

I can see Alice watching the Style network, and Esme watching HGTV. I bet they all watch some "reality" TV - trying to make sense of why humans act as they do, lol!

Since Edward was so eager to sign up as a soldier in WWI, and Jasper was a soldier in the Civil War, I bet they both watch a lot of the History channel specials on those eras.

Emmett probably watches a lot of sports, and maybe Animal Planet, haha.

Carlisle is addicted to ER and Grey's. ;)

They all watch Doctor Who; and when they watch Heroes they probably point at the screen and laugh at the character's comparatively feeble powers!

Okay, I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this and I'm super sorry if they have!!! I searched I really did!!

So what do the Cullens do all the time. We know what Edward and Carlisle do but what about the rest of the family like Esme and the "children?" They hunt which could be like an hour to like 4 or something and they shop, play instruments, watch TV, buy cars, play on the stock market, stalk pretty girls, etc....
But they've done everything atleast 10 times haven't they?

I would like to imagine them playing Jenga or some other really fun board game! LOL! I mean really can you imagine Emmett trying to put a Jenga block without knocking it over, or better yet how annoyed he would be when Alice would take his spot first! I want to see who could win in a tree-climbing race or even a race on the ground running as fast as they could!!

I was just wondering what you guys might think they do during their "free time."

What an interesting thread! I can just see them in all the ways everyone here has posted  !
I would love to see a game of 'Twister' with just the boys playing...Alice simply could not be around whenever a football game is on if the guys are betting on anything, especially the Super Bowl, or the March Madness games! I remember when they had their graduation party that Alice wanted to 'educate' the young people in their music tastes, so perhaps she is musical as well ...I can see Alice being a dress designer.....even Rosalie a car designer....I wonder how much we could learn from them scientifically concerning alternative fuels....? The boys would probably be more into rugby, especially Emmett. Edward and Jasper might be soccer buffs....With Carlisle being English, perhaps crickett?? They all, probably, are into global news.......I wonder who they want for President???Maybe we should ask Alice  !!

In Eclipse, Edward tells Jacob how his mind works differently from a human mind--and Bella mentions Edward's perfect recall in one of the books as well. The Cullens already know everything that high school has to offer. I doubt it takes them very long to complete homework, projects, or papers. As they don't really get the house dirty, the lengthiest household chore is most likely Alice and Rosalie's closet organization!

Do you think Esme goes grocery shopping every week as part of the Cullen's "props"?

Haha! For some reason I just got a visual of Bella sitting in the Cullen living room - looking straight at Emmett and biting the head off of a gummy bear! ;)

Watch me go hunting, Emmett!

Do you think they re-human their books, when they read?

...ROFLMBO! LOLOLOLOL!!! :D  :D

I had to stare at the screen for about a full minute trying to work out what you meant and then BAM it clicked! So funny! Well since vampires have perfect memory they probably only re-human occasionally...like when a certain adorable vampire is so in love that he wants to see what passages his human girlfriend has dog-eared in her favorite books. sigh But yes, I think they definitely consider it re-humaning! ;)

Oh, now I get what re-vamping is. I have been wondering. Man it sucks (pun intended) to be a newborn!
I wonder if they like to swim to Europe or something in their spare time?
Would they ski or snowboard...what about skateboarding...is it all just boring to them?

I think she would have to. I mean in a small town people would notice if you never went to the store, wouldn't they? She has to go out and get wood stain and brushes and stuff for all of her restoration work. Maybe she'd buy Bella some of those gummy bears or teddy grahams?

Or just animal crackers, so that Bella can feel like she is hunting too. :)
