Looking through this site and reading everyone's fun avatars and names it got me to thinking just who these beautiful woman (and men, of course) are and how and why they chose their "name". Some of them are obvious but some are just intriguing. My call name is Ladyphoenix4. "lady" for my daughters middle name (Donna) and "phoenix" for my son's middle name (his actual name as HP & the Order of the Phoenix had just come out when he was born) and 4 because, well, there are four of us. Anybody else want to dish? The avatar was created using Photoshop and my daughter thought I was an insane person creating something meant for a teenager. Oh well. Someday she will be old enough to read these books and THEN she will understand our obsession!

I am a big Rankin/Bass fan and my username comes from the special "Year Without a SantaClaus" - snowey for snowmiser

i chose my user name for the following reasons:

1. these were actual words that edward said to describe bella towards the end of chapter 4 of twilight ("invitations"). i love this scene as it's where he tells her, for the very first time, that he's tired of ignoring her any longer.

2. there's just something captivating, not to mention sexy with the way edward says the phrase in the book

3. the phrase sums up my sentiment on my unexplainable twilight obsession (in a totally positive way, of course )

[utterly -- absolutely, thoroughly, perfectly, completely]
[absurd -- unbelievable, irrational, fantastic, impracticable]

I didn't think of using a Twilight related name--I wanted something along the lines of the characters in the novel, something old fashioned. Edward, Alice, Jasper, Esme, Josephine all kind of fit together...

And, one of my favorite books is Little Women. I consider myself to be very much like Jo, so I chose Josephine.

Also, because my youngest babe is named Joseph (but not really for this, because I didn't use my other two sons' names in my name.)

It's also my name on another board--I'm not very original. LOL.

I was very UNoriginal when I picked my name. It's my first name and last of my last name. If I could change it now, I would. initial

Well my screen name is a play on words I guess. I derived annaobscura from camera obscura. Camera means room and obscura means dark, so camera obscura literally means dark room. Anyway my name Anna (pronounced Ar-na) means grace, so annaobscura is dark grace. I've used it for a number of years in alternative and gothic forums.

My avatar is a vampire version of me. I made it long before I discovered Twilight, because I was afraid of vampires. Anyhoo, my eyes sometimes photograph amber like Edwards, so my avatar which is hard to see tiny, is me as a vamp with topaz eyes..lol.




As for my sig banner, I made that with my two favourite Edwards. The Edward I imagine Rupert Friend, and Rob and obviously it is a play on the Justin Timberlake song.

My name has nothing to do this the books at all. I am afraid it is nothing creative either.
catcher is my sons name and 22 is my husbands baseball number.

22 is my favourite number, it's my birthday, I also love the time 11:11 which obviously adds up to 22.

Mine is not that creative. I couldn't use lisa since that is our beloved coven monther's call name so I put Lisawith4 because I have 4 boys.

Nothing special about skibunny6. I like to snow ski and ride the waves on our jetski (wave runner acutally) and occasionally water ski, however it has been difficult to get back behind the boat after I had my son. The number 6 well it's my favorite, don't know why, I just do.

A few of us Utah Tm's were talking about this on edwards birthday and how unoriginal we all were. I wish I could change mine but then again im not really creative. 3535 has been my numbers after everything for as long as I can remember.
