I think I need Avatars For Dummies. I still cannot figure out how to get an avatar. When I choose one I think it is telling me that it is too big but when I see the avatars on this forum they are bigger than the one I chose. Also, I think I know how to get text in the signature line, but how does everyone get the multiple avatars/pics there?

Can someone please help me before I go crazy! I am already almost there without this problem!

Oh...oh...oh...I did it! I cannot believe I finally figured it out. I chose some avatars on photobucket and put them in my "album". Then I copied the Direct Link and pasted it into the Link to off-site Avatar in my profile. Voila, I now have an avatar. Now I have to figure out how to get pics in the signature area. Yahoo!!

when you figure out how to get a picture in the signature area please share the info, I don't get it!

Ok, I'm going to try to explain this. I'm not sure I can make sense but I'll try.

You have to find the picture you want and copy the direct link. Then when you're in your profile page you type in [img]post%20the%20link%20here[/img] It's just like when you post an image in a post but the little button isn't there to put the tags in for you so you have to type them. Does that make any sense?

You can put several pictures one right after another. If you want a bunch, like Rhonda's, you have to make it in photoshop and then upload it as one picture to photobucket. Someone else will have to help with the photoshop instructions. I don't know how to do that.

For pictures in a signature you use the code on photobucket that starts with [img]. You then paste it into the signature box.

I figured out how to post my avatar, but it's HUGE! I tried making it smaller and it is; on my photo bucket. But every time I re-post it in my profile it remains HUGE. How can I fix it or is it alright like it is??

I'm a bit confused....

Okay, my question is, where do you type that? Before the direct link or after? I finally have my avatar, but for the life of me I can't get a picture in my signature! I feel so stupid because so many people figured it out! I copy and past the direct link, but when I click submit there's no picture just the link. What am I doing wrong?

HOLY CRAP!!!!!! I AM AS STUPID AS I FEEL!!!!!!! I was wondering if when I posted a message the picture would be there even though it wasn't showing up in my signature on my profile and looky there!!!!!! I'm so excited! Thank you for all the instructions and disregard my earlier post!!!
