Yeah, I figure they wanted Edward to kill Bella. So glad he refused!

there must have been a lot of action in that "big fight" that edward had with his siblings in the name of bella. i wonder how stephenie expounds on this in MS. i hope i don't end up being too angry with rosalie, and jasper (i mean, if they really wanted bella dead initially). although i expect to do a lot of internal squeeeing when i see just how edward will defend bella, even while he was still confused about how he really felt about her.

So excited for this book! I can't wait, I think we are going to see so much more of Edward, have a fuller picture of him other than when he is just around Bella!

We can't get too mad at them. Jasper is just too tempted and Rosalie is just too stuck on herself. But I'm sure in BD we will see them mature even more, they have already grown to love her so much. MS will just be Twilight and back then neither of them liked being around Bella very much. As they grow they learn to love her too.
I just had this idea, what if Edward hadn't stopped Jasper from attacking Bella at the beginning of NM. Then after he started biting her, Edward could pull him off of her and she would've been changed! That would have been something to squeeee about. Just a thought.

Yeah, but then the Quileutes would have had the vampires that much earlier for breaking the treaty. At least now, they at least have a different perspective on the Cullens.

hmm, i don't think edward would have let it go that far. if there was any character in the books who didn't want bella to change the most, its surely edward. knowing how edward feels about bella's humanity, and knowing how he can anticipate one's actions through his thought-reading talents, his keeping bella from being bitten by jasper is quite inevitable.

Well, it was a close thing at the birthday party. It took Emmett to help pull Jasper off, and it took Rosalie to help get Jasper out of the house. I think Jasper and Edward are pretty evenly matched, strength-wise.

True, Jasper really is hot, isn't he? Tee . . . hee, of course Edward is my heart.

I was just trying to think of a way to avoid the whole Edward leaves Bella saga. Kinda cool to think about, though. Although, with Edward's mind reading, U.A., you are right to think that no one could touch Bella w/o his okay.

but i don't want to avoid the whole 'edward leaving bella' saga! i wouldn't get my most favorite post-volterra reunion scene without the 'leaving' saga!

I know, I know! I love the get back together scene too, but I can't stand the leave scene, the big hole in the chest scenes, the zombie scenes, the my fairytale is over scenes! They just break my heart, but then he comes back into the pages and my heart starts to heal again.

yeah, i get what you mean. revamping NM is pretty much for me going through an emotional roller-coaster ride each time. this reminds me, i chanced upon my sister the other day, reading NM for the first time. she was clutching at her chest while she was reading. i called her attention to this and she was caught off guard as she didn't know she was doing the clutching. i guess NM can really affect you that way. hmm, slightly not on topic anymore.

BTW, I always clutch at my chest too when I read about Bella doing it. I so love NM but I so hate Edward leaving. But you're right, he comes back in in an awesome way.

He does always come back in an awesome way, but I'd rather have something different this time- attacked from without rather than within. I want Bella and Edward to stick together this time, for the most part. They need that united front, in my opinion.

I agree, I also think that she should be a vampire when/if they are attacked. I want Bella to show everyone how strong she really is. So many people that I know think she is so weak, but when you are a human surrounded by vampires, you are the weakest link. I want Edward to admire the fact that she can take care of herself. Not unlike Alice, she beat Jasper and he loves her for it.

When Edward left after the BIO class incident, ALL night, EVERY night....Oh Goodness, I cannot wait for MS...
