Am I the only Mom who has read Twilight in Montana?????
Please tell me I'm not alone. Is anyone out there?

I am in Kalispell, MT. Northwest part of the state by Glacier park and the Canadian border.

Okay, you got me on that one. The distance thing is def different out here. You know this is true when you will drive 300 miles round trip to go to Old Navy and a half way decent mall. But, Wyoming is still a hike, for me, I'm closer in proximity to the Idaho and Washington area.

Are you the only Wyoming mom so far? What's up? Is this book strictly a west coast thing? Is it because people have an aversion to rainy Washington or any mention of the possibility of seasonal affective disorder?? Ahhh...never mind. We'll just tuck in here and forget about everyone else, it's cozy here and we have good books, do you want a cup of coffee?? I'll meet you halfway, say Billings? Bozeman?

BTW where do you live in Wyoming? I have an old friend that I haven't seen in a million years who lived in Laramie last time I talked to her. You never know, the internet is a big place you could run into anybody here. Wink

I live in Cheyenne, moved here three years ago when my husband was hired on the Fire Department here. *Love my man in uniform* We lived in southern utah before that, i have just felt so out of place here. I would love to see more of the state. I think Montana sounds really beautiful. I grew up driving 90 miles to go get a hamburger so i do feel lucky in that aspect now. its nice not to have to drive an hout and a half to the emergency room.
I was wondering too if there were any colorado moms who might be close, but i haven't run upon anyone. how far are you from Yellowstone??

I am in the Northewestern part of the state, so Yellowstone is quite a trek. Probably an 8 hour drive or more. Not exactly an afternoon drive. Wink

I've lived here for almost 4 years now. I am originally from Los Angeles, with a stop off in NoCal. So this is quite a change of pace for me. You can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl!! I'm finally getting used to seeing tractors on the highway. That's was something new for sure.

I have had a great time in Montana though. I can't complain. I've got a great job and good friends and my daughter is so happy here. It's all good.

Is it snowing out your way today? It's blowing out here for sure.

No snow yet. I think there's a slim chance for it today. But the snow here is not the snow of my childhood. I liken it to white, cold, sand. But i'll take what i can get. It is very dark today, had to turn on the lamps this morning so i could see to get the kids up, not a good sign.
It is REALLY windy the last couple of days. My Elm tree lost some branches over night. *prays for the apricot, plum, and choke cherry trees*

There's a possibility that I could be moving up there (Minn) this summer. So, what are your best cold-weather tips! Clothes, cars, everything.

Best Cold Weather tips.. Buy your kids expensive quality coats, Boots, hats, Mittens, Scarf. Never leave cans of soda in the car! Buy a Boot tray, you can get them at any lowes home depot kind of place. I make everyone take shoes off at door and plac ein boot try so when the snow, ice, mud melts it does start a swimming pool on the floor.

My in-laws live in Columbia Falls & we visit at least 2-3 times a year. I have some friends up there too. I'll ask them to get on this site. I live in TX, and this summer we are moving to southern FL. However, when I am in town I would love to meet for lunch and chat about twilight.

Not in Montana or Wyoming. I'm just to the East in South Dakota. And I know what you mean about distances being different here. I look at a 6 hour trip to get to any major place now as a nice day trip!!

I have some friends who have read these books, but I think I am the most addicted one. Once I find something I just become obsessed. In a good way, I'm sure!

I'm in Wyoming!!! Sheridan- very close to Montana, but probably still not very close to any of you... There are a lot of Twilight fans (at my job and in my family), but probably none of them are as crazy as us... Alas, I have an addictive personality that is being channeled by Twilight at the moment.

Ah, Butte! The town of outrageous St. Patrick's day festivities. I have never been to Butte, only by it. I am thanking goddesses and whoever else I can that winter is almost done. Bring on the sunshine and warm weather already.
