I love it here because I don't feel so alone with my obsession.. I was running the school fair this week and recommend the books to many students. In fact I had to keep restocking the books they were flying off the shelf...Anyway one of the other mothers who had volenteered said boy you are really obsessed. Funny thing though I never felt alone in that obsession until that moment. They all read the book, so I assume they all had similar feelings but I guess being a younger mom then the rest of them they couldn't relate. And in that moment I felt very alone...actually they went off together and I stayed behind listening to the music that you guys recommend by the mitch hansen band on my ipod... Anyway I want you to know this is why I love it here so much.
Yours For Eternity,
Love _________________

yeah, I know what you mean - I felt quite alone until I found the TMs here... I had no one to talk about twilight... my sister and my mother don't really understand and keep saying I shouldn't spend so much time with "just a book" or "just a movie"...
I recommended the books to a few female friends of mine but they weren't interested at all....
...it's really sad sometimes _________________

I found that people who haven't read the Twilight Series, (and maybe a few who have, and weren't quite bitten...) Absolutely cannot understand the obsession. It can become frustrating to many of us who are wholeheartedly captured and want to discuss every little thing. For myself, I have had to voluntarily curtail my ethusiasm in certain situations, like work. I can only imagine what it may sound like from their point of view. The one thing a Twilighter doesn't want to hear is, "Alright already... enough of Twilight!"
And to think... the 4th book is yet to be released, Midnight Sun...and the film. We have so much more to talk about! _________________ "What size feet do you have? They're huge!"
Pattinson: Are they? Christ, I don't know. [He laughs.] I didn't know I have big feet. Size 10, I think. I'm quite tall, though. That's another thing I can add to my list of inadequacies — or over-adequacies.

Many people I know don't even like to read...I can't understand that. They certainly don't understand my obsession with Twilight, Edward, Bella... My husband seems somewhat...amused by my fascination with the story, and even my daughter (who loves all 3 books) isn't as into them as I am. I simply can't put them down. I can't stop watching the movie teaser trailer. Thank goodness for Twilightmoms! I love having others who feel as I do to "talk" with.

Luckily my closest friend (and sister) is equally hooked on Twilight so I can obsess without judgement My husband is not so understanding and usually chuckles at my back as I hunch over my laptop once the kids are asleep...has anyone gotten their husbands/boyfriends to actually read the book?

I turned a coworker onto the books and she and I are both Edward obsessed, so I can talk to her. She thinks I'm a little crazy cause I actually ordered tshirts with Twilight junk on them. Wore one today, and only got one inquiry on it, from the cashier at Bath & Body wks. She said she tried reading Twilight and could not get into it. I looked at her like she had grown a third eye right there in front of me. She said of the twilight readers "they are really obsessive fans, though". Ya think? _________________

Thanks for the laugh! "obsessive"? Don't think so Are the shirts true to size? Am thinking of getting a decal for my Pilot, too, and letting the world (ok-the Charlotte, NC area) know about Twilight!

I love it here because I can tell my husband and kids "see, look, it's not just me!" Actually, my husband is coming around. We're heading to the Olympic peninsula in Washington for the 4th of July to visit some family, and my husband (who just read Twilight under direct order from me), actually asked her how far away her house was from Forks!

I have not been a recreational reader for some years. When I needed too escape, it would usually be back to Jane.
My co worker discovered though that I had been watching Moonlight on TV and felt safe in introducing "Twilight" as possible reading for me. She left her copy on my desk.
Two days later I was cursing her, because I could not find "New Moon" at my local Borders and did not want to wait and order it! Well, my Daughter, bless her heart, found both New Moon and Eclipse at Target that very day. She couldn't understand why I NEEDED to read more but she loves me and wanted me happy. Four days later, I was on the internet because my "THIRST" had not been satisfied, and I found TwilightMoms. I have read and re read the series several times now. I can not explain the instant obsession I experienced either but I thank goodness that Stephanie put her musings down on paper forever for us.
I don't get to visit TWILIGHTMOMS as often as I would like but when I do...my need to feed is filled for the moment. _________________
