Yay Lisa!! What an awesome opportunity to spread the word!! You've done us proud!! And yes, do share your hair secrets; it looked fabulous!

I hope you get to go and chat with Stephenie after her interview (or perhaps it's live feed from AZ?)

And yes, this is the perfect time to thank you, yet again, for creating this awesome outlet for our obsession!!

Not to get off topic! But I just watched Steph on KUTV news this morning and GOOD Things UTAH! She was fabulous on both! LOVED The TM's representing us at the KUTV building! You go girls! I'm so jealous that I wasn't there! And congrats to our TM mom who got to do Stephenie's make-up and the little part on the movie boxes! That little green jealousy monster is rearing it's ugly head! Great Job Lisa on Good things UTAH! You did a fantastic job!

Ok I'm here... I had no idea this thread was even here until someone told me. Thank you so much for the support and amazingly generous comments! Sheesh! You are so nice!!!

I have to tell you, I was shaking from the moment I was asked to be on the show for a short segment just the day before. The show's producer contacted me and asked if I "could be on the show tomorrow". and I was so nervous and undecided that I didn't give her an answer for a few hours. I actually called my husband thinking he might tell me that he had an important test or dr. appointment that he couldn't miss and then I'd be able to say I wasn't able to do it. (I was hoping he would give me an out and relieve the anxiety that was building inside me at the thought of going on tv and making a fool of myself) But my attempt backfired and my husband immediately said, "YOU TOTALLY SHOULD DO IT!!! THAT'S SO AWESOME!!!" I said, "Are you sure? You think it would be a good idea?" and he said again, "LISA, YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD DO IT! IT WILL BE GREAT!"
He was 110% supportive and went with me and sat in the audience with my son on his lap. (If you see a clip where they pan the audience, my husband and little boy are in the back. :D )
So, I was literally physically shaking from the time I accepted the offer until the segment was over and I left the studio. I hardly slept the night before. I had to pull a "Bella" and medicate myself in order to get at least a few hours of sleep. I seriously was so nervous and anxious that I felt nauseous and shakey for HOURS.
You have to understand that I'm not a very outgoing person generally. I've never had any desire to be in the public eye in any way. I never thought having a website of twilight buddies would lead to any sort of notoriety. I'm very much comfortable being a "behind the scenes" person, so the growing recognition is... well... weirding me out. (for lack of a better term). I'm trying to adjust and just have fun meeting all the amazing TMs out there.
I love hearing that during the interview, I looked so comfortable and did such a good job, because that means I hid it REALLY well. I was literally shaking the whole time and my heart was palpitating like crazy!!! And I don't think clearly when I'm put on the spot so I was totally having a hard time answering the questions. It was horrible! Then before I knew it... it was over. *whew* (btw- the answer to "how" I got onto the set was that the Unit Publicist for the filming of the movie called me and invited me to come for an official set visit... why I couldn't think to simply say THAT when they asked me is just further proof that I am a basket case when put on the spot. My brain gets all jumbly!)
As for my hair... well... THANK YOU for all the compliments! Wow! It's just a small show so there's no one to do hair and make up so I just woke up super early to get ready. My hair is naturally curly (read: crazy and frizzy!). I rarely "do" my hair cuz I just work in a dirty warehouse and there's really reason to waste time doing my hair in the morning when I can be getting more sleep before the alarm goes off. I've decided to call this new hair do my "event hair" b/c events such as this will be the ONLY time I will spend that much dang time on my hair!
I put gel or mousse in it while it's still wet, let it air dry, then use my daughter's curling iron with the broken spring to wrap sections of my hair around the barrel, beginning from the bottom and working my way up until it's all done. Then I have to rest my arms!!! I'm just glad all that hard work didn't go to waste.
I did my own make up and the only thing I did differently was actually put on foundation and then put on my make up heavier than usual b/c I heard that on TV you're supposed to do that.
So that was my TV experience! I'm SO relieved it's over!!! Thank you for all your supportive and uplifting comments... they really made me feel better... cuz I felt like a total dork. It was my first time with anything like that and all in all I think it went ok.

I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

you looked so very cool and composed in the interview, and you were quite natural and comfortable with the way you answered their questions! so pardon me if i tell you that i'm really having a hard time believing what you said in your post that you were a nervous, shaky wreck the entire time you were in the studio. :D the interview was great, and you did us all proud! :D

Lisa, just wanted to tell you that I saw Good things Utah that morning, (which I rarely watch) and saw you talking about the twilight series and your website devoted to moms that are fans of the book. I got amazon and ordered all 3 books that same day and had them read in about a week! (thats good for me, i'm not much of a reader). So, thanks to you i'm now a twird!! (spelling?) Thanks again!!!
