Hi there! It's good to know a member here is also from the Philippines.. I'm from Manila too.. Maybe we can have a Breaking Dawn release get together here as well... I've been encouraging my friends to read Twilight so that I'll have someone to chat about it here... Well, it's already gaining popularity and I'm so glad to have come across the books and most especially knowing Edward and Bella's love story :)

Hi Kat! At least there are four of us now here from Manila. :D I do hope having a Breaking Dawn release get-together here is truly possible! I'm quite excited about that idea, actually. Hopefully between now and the release date more people from Manila will be added to this little group of ours, so there will be more Filipino Twilighters to celebrate with us come August. Just feel free to PM me or to chat with me here anytime. See you!

Well make that five. :D

Hello there! Hope our little group will continue to grow... I'm looking forward to meeting you all in August for our "Breaking Dawn release get together" (still hoping it will push through) :)

Glad to see there are a lot more TMs from my part of the world!

Me too!! So what's going on in that part of the world? I heard about the earthquake up in Iwate in Japan, then about some flood in the Philippines? Where was that? I just don't watch TV so I'm so detached from the world *sigh*

i don't get to watch tv too, mainly because i'm attached to the computer and to this site. he hee. i know about the china earthquake but i did not hear about the one in japan. sorry, such big help i am, huh?? :?

yeah, there was a typhoon here during the weekend. i think it covered practically almost the whole of the philippine archipelago from mindanao to the northern provinces. the floods occured mostly in the provinces, i think. but, such was the typhoon's strength that classes in all levels were suspended today, monday. the suspension was announced actually late sunday night, but i learned about it only when i woke up early monday morning to drive my daughter to school. how pathetic am i??

LOL! You're no more pathetic than I am I guess! We (as in my family) live in a highrise in Fort so even if it floods, I suppose we're okay. Some of that rain needs to make it out here to Phoenix!!! Good golly it's like 110 degrees (43.33 Celsius) today. It's better than a few days ago when it hit 46.66 Celsius I suppose, but STILL. Humans should not live in this kind of temperature!

wow, really? 43 degrees? the hottest we had here last summer i think was around 38-40 degrees celsius. bella certainly wasn't joking about the weather there in phoenix. tee hee.

yup, its the rainy season here all right. more typhoons to come i suppose, till around december. your family ought to be safe at the fort. that area is one of the newest developments in manila, so it won't ever get flooded there. :) we don't get floods too where we live. we stay in a suburb in quezon city, that's in the northern part of manila. although i totally sympathize with the families whose places got flooded because of the storm. :(

so how often do you get rains there in phoenix? its summer time there now, right?

Let's see.... how often does it rain in Phoenix? I think I can count the days on my fingers *ROFL* Seriously - it's sunny 360 days out of the year and summers are the worst! We get old folks dying from heat stroke. That's how bad it is. Day before yesterday, I saw on the news that an elderly couple drove to Phooenix from Vegas, got lost, and the wife passed away in the car from the heat. Not "passed out". She "passed away". It's scary I tell you!
