I've got a Spam story: When I was young my aunt married a native Hawaiian and we use to go visit them during the summer and one thing I remembered is that he use to make us Spam sushi (The Spam is cooked but it is just wrapped like sushi in rice and seaweed). He died a couple years ago from a heart attack, possibly spam related. Anyway, when I was pregnant last year all I could think about was that stupid Spam sushi. I actually cried over it for two days before my husband found a Hawaiian restaurant about an hour away from us that made it. They must have thought we were crazy because we ordered two huge to-go boxes full of it and it's all I ate for the next couple of days. Looking back on it, I'm a little disgusted with myself about it.

Another wtfmeat favorite of mine is Vienna sausages. They are so good fried and cut up in tomato soup.

So wrong...

I agree!

I was raised on Spam. Actually, that might explain a lot.

We ALWAYS use the low sodium stuff! And I've never thought of doing it with hashbrowns--that's genius! Hey, BackupBella, I bet the cheesy kind would be good for that, too!

I'm hungry, guys. I need to find a little drooly emoticon.....

Just into, um, goats? :D I had goat jerky once. It was tasty, but Spam is more versatile.

No, really! It was good! So is marlin jerky--but it's a little rubbery.

Jerky's good stuff. Not so great for the sodium-intake, but excellent as a substitute for biting nails when reading suspenseful books.

I can't believe how many people love spam... Ha ha. I haven't had spam in forever. We had it all the time growing up My mom loved it. and viana sasages too. That recipe with the pinnapple actually sounds really good. I think im going to have to try it and see how it goes over. Of course I don't think I could tell my hubby its spam he might freak but my kids are too young to realise what im feeding them... Interesting notion.
