New Categories

Members have been organized into different categories for the purpose of keeping track of all our members. Our coven is growing sooooo fast!!! We try to keep track of newer newborns for a little while in order to root out any teens. Your title is not a rank & doesn't make you better than anyone else.
(FYI... even I am still a Newborn when it comes to my post numbers.)

Member Categories are as follows:
Newborn: 0-99 posts
Onyx Vampire: 100-999 posts
Topaz Vampire: 1000-4999 posts
Gold Vampire: 5000+ posts

Again, this is only for the purposes of organization. It also makes things more fun when members hit milestones. Wink

Yes we changed things again! Sorry but we just couldn't keep up with changing all the colors for all the new members! So we had to do away with the color change after 10 posts. Now you are a Newborn until you hit your 100th post then you become an onyx Vampire. At 1000 you become Topaz and at 5000 gold.

Why are some bold, and some not. Mine changed last night to the Onyx color but it's not bold black. Is this just a glitch?

For the life of me I can't figure it out. There is no rhyme or reason on why some people are bold and some aren't. It's that way with the newborns (0-99) too??? I've looked at every possibity I can come up with and can't figure out why?

I've worked with vBulletin but not a whole lot with phpBB. There might be a random

in there. If so, it would need to be taken out.

Could be a flukey thing though. =)

Hey Tamia - One of the admin will change the colors but sometimes it takes a day or two.

The admins have to change by hand? Oh my goodness! You guys must keep very busy then! Way to go!

I wonder why that is...I admin a small site, and ours is done automatically once we set the different member levels. Hrm.

The words under your name will change automatically .. (currently you're a newborn -- when you reach 100 posts, you'll automatically be an "onyx vampire") .... its the colors of our screen names that they have to change manually. (For instance, I am over 1000 posts, so I am a "topaz vampire" -- my screen name SHOULD be red, but its still black because with so many members, its becoming a bit overwhelming.)

I'm not sure if that helps to clarify things or not .....

Well that helps a little...but it seems like there should be a setting to change the color when the member title is changed, automatically. We use vbulletin though, I've never worked on this type.
