My husband was in Alaska this past weekend for an American Indian film festival, and he met and interviewed Nakotah Larance, a young American Indian actor who mentioned that he had auditioned for the Jacob Black role. Nakotah is most noted for his role in Into the West and HBO's Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee. I believe he auditioned in the past month or two, but he hasn't heard back yet. Do you think they will cast American Indians for the roles of those who are actually American Indians in the book?

If he is who I think he is... he will do the part of young Jacob nicely.... of course that will completely shatter my minds view of the hot schmexy Jacob...

Yeah, I don't know about him. At the risk of sounding rude, Nakotah is not attractive at all. (And from his You Tube audition video, a HORRIBLE actor.) And Jake has GOT to be at least a little sexy. :?

I totally agree with all of you. I don't think Nakotah is hot AT ALL, and I was pretty disappointed in the audition. It was terrible, and I found him to be annoying. Jacob definitely has to be hot. How about Eddie Spears? He seems pretty fierce! I could pay attention to him for a couple of hours.

I just tried to find it, and I can't. I think it may have been taken down from youtube. Probably better. Maybe it made too many people sick.

Yes, his audition made me cringe a little. I felt bad because he's a nice kid, from what I understand. But, to be fair, he was standing next to a blank wall with no other characters around him, no music for dramatic effects, no props, nothing. The voice of Bella wasn't that great either. I would imagine it would be a bit hard to do well when there is nothing there to assist you along.

Well truthfully in Twilight you only need a cute tall boyish Jacob. All Jacob's hotness doesn't come until New Moon. Or highth issues and jazz. They may just stop with the twilight book and not make movies out of the others. You really don't need to how the first book ends. It really can stand on its own. We just all love how the story continues.

I'm going to try not to expect too much from the movie. I'm convincing myself that it's just a bonus.

I do think Robert Pattinson is beautiful so that should be entertaining in itself! :D

Jacob should be very pretty though, even in Twilight I pictured him that way.

Yeah, I love that picture, too. :D Obviously! There are so many delicious ones to choose from though!

I'm curious to see, when I reread all the books, how Robert's face will fit into the pictures in my head! It will be weird to have a specific face in mind. I never really had a full picture of Edward in my head just pieces and more of a feeling of what he looked like...

I've only just read the first page of this thread, and I'm sorry to say that I'm feeling quite negative about the movie. RP is not hot enough to be Edward, KS is a BAD actress ( yes I have seen her other roles) the girl they've got for Rosalie is so not pretty enough. From the clips I've seen all the acting is terrible. I'm stressing, I really truly hope I get to eat all my own words once the movie comes out, but I'm not puting money on it.

It is so nice to have another person who feels exactly the same way I feel about Edward. I never had a perfectly clear picture in my head of Edward either, just like you said more of a feeling. I don't think I want RP floating in my head as Edward, I like my imagination better.
