Rob's face is the only one I see when I re-read Twilight.... if it were about trying to find someone who was the complete embodiment of Edward, the movie just couldn't even be made. But I think Rob is going to absolutely emmerse himself in the role and he is going to do it so well. I'm not worried at all!

I could have already mentioned this but I'll say it again...Reading HP than watching the film adaption taught me a hard lesson about separating the two. I would be so hurt when they would miss critical parts from the movie and all that. Its a hard thing to do but hey. So I'm going to go to this movie with an open mind, but seeing all the clips from TW I can honestly say that it looks pretty darn close to the books.

Movies will never be as good as books. We have our imaginations with those! Nothing beats that. _________________ ~Ash

i just hope they dont mutilate it like the people who made eragon. i like those books and when i went to see the movie it was horrible. from what i have seen online twilight looks to at least follow the story. i am keeping my fingers crossed. i know they cant keep everything the same. just as long as all the major things are still in it it should be good.

The only worry I have is for the people that judge the film, when they haven't had the experience of the books. Otherwise I have no concerns at all. I am relieved that computer generation will not take over this film. Unlike with Harry Potter, it worked so well and blended in nicely. Twilight doesn't need all that hocus pocus... My attention is on the character development, just like the books. _________________ "I think I'm fairly smitten with Rob." - Me

I was very happy with the movie and the characters that we were seeing in all the tidbits we were seeing, until now! The Field trip scene when Edward was telling Bella about stopping the car, and he told her to Google it! Something about that just ran right thru me. I panicked; did anyone else feel that way? If this has already been talked about please forgive, I did try to read everything before posting…felt like I need to make a disclaimer

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was worried the movie would be bad, but I'm keeping my hopes up that it's as amazing as well all know it can me. I think they did a great job with casting, so that's a plus. And the clips we've seen so far have been pretty good. I am a little nervous about the new scenes they added, but hopefully it all flows together well and doesn't take away anything from those of us who read the book. Because I know when I watch the Harry Potter movies, I spend half of my time being distracted by the changes (information omitted, scenes added, story line changes, etc).

I can understand. If Edward said "google" in the book, I'd find it completely out of place! But for some reason I don't mind Edward saying it in the movie...Rob can get away with it

I'm re-reading Twilight and I would say that half of the time I don't imagine Robert as Edward. I think it's the way Stephenie describes the scenes. I think everyone forms their own vision or feeling of what Edward looks like. However, I think Robert will do a great job. I can't wait to see how it all goes down. _________________ Lisa from Ohio

I'm pretty sure the movie is going to suck (in my mind/opinoin of course)..and nothing against the actors, I just hate how "they" change things from the book to movie. Sometimes its big changes but even the small changes just bug me. Even from what I've seen online of the movie, nothing fits exactly into what was written. I know the argument is made that it can't be just like the book and...well I don't buy that And again I don't mean like Laurent being black or Carlisle/Esme being older then the book, etc etc..I mean actual storyline..
Oh I'll still go to see it for sure. Hopefully the first showing around here if I can help it.

Oh, it won't be nearly as good, but I will still love it. We all keep referencing back to Harry Potter because it is a prime example of how the movie industry has, in my mind, ruined something that was so perfect in book form. I want to see these books so bad on film but I already can see myself sitting in the theater like I have done with all the HP's screaming (at least in my head) at the screen, "Wait, that isn't right! That is not how she wrote it!"
I know that it can't be the same and after 5 ok Harry Potter adaptations and 2 "I could have done without" Nicholas Sparks adapts, I will be happy with "Twilight" just because it is "Twilight."
Casting wise, I am pretty happy. I am still torn on Jacob because I have something completely different in my mind, especially when when I get to "New Moon" and "Eclipse."
I will be there, December 12, waiting in line with the rest of you.
