Midnight Sun-how will it compare?

How will MS compare to the other books in the series? Will it be better even than Twilight because it is Twilight from Edward's POV!! Will it be the worst because we already know what's going to happen? Will it be just so-so because, we'll still buy it to complete our collection but nothing compares to Twilight?

Let me hear your opinions, please.

I think it'll be better than Twilight. Even though we know alot of what happens and stuff, we don't know everything that Edward was thinking and doing. And I'd much rather read Edwards POV than Bellas.

I don't think it will be equal to or better than Twilight, but not worse if that makes sense I think it will be just different. I do however think it will be better than New Moon since well that is what is wrong with New Moon, the lack of Edward! Smile

I actually believe it will be better, though this is no way deters from my love for the original. See, having read the first ( painfully small ) chapter of Midnight Sun has forever altered the way I read Bella's first encounter with Edward, has made it that much more affecting to me. While looking back, part of me can identify with Bella's 17 year old perspective, it was Edward's POV that has remained with me because it is that much more painful, thought provoking and profound. If the entire book is written with the same somewhat desperate, volatile intensity, I believe it will surpass Twilight , for me anyway.

Oh Heather you would have to swoop in and make really good points wouldn't you!? Like I have said I am so afraid that knowing so much about Edward will make me dislike him. I hope we get to see his humanity return and stuff really quickly. But I'm worried about the dark moments that they will somehow be too painful. It will be nice to see from outside the 17 year old girl perspective though. *ponders*

I voted "better than Twilight" because I'm biased, it's all Edward. Twilight is wonderful, but MS will be all Edward and I can't get enough of Edward! Very Happy

I think it may be better. Since Twilight is everything from Bella's perspective it will be so very interesting to read it from Edward's view. I especially want to know what was going on in Edward's mind during Chapter 13 "Confessions" (my favorite chapter). How he truly felt when he put his head to Bella's heart and just sat and listened to her heartbeat. We can only see it in Twilight how Bella describes it, but to hear what Edward was really thinking will be I'm sure amazing.

Oh now I'm focusing on this more than I should. I too want to see so many scenes through his eyes, I'm scared as to how scared he is when he allows Jasper and Alice to take Bella to Phoenix becoming concerned about Jasper's will power and just being away from her.

I look forward to what he was thinking when she is touching his hand and arm in the meadow, carrying her for the first time, kissing her . . . oh dear! Also when he spends the night (and she is aware of it for the first time!)

The reason I want Eclipse, etc. would be to see what he is feeling when he proposes, I still love that moment most.

I just think that Midnight Sun will bring Twilight full circle. We then have the whole story! I love the first chapter and am thirsty for more! Like alot of other moms, I'd love to see all the books from Edwards perspective. I think SM was very creative in writing Edwards version. I voted Equal to Twilight. I love all the books and am just as eager to read Midnight Sun as I am Breaking Dawn and any other Cullen books she comes out with. Keep'em coming Steph!

This is a definite two sides of the same coin. Ying and Yang that sort of thing. The books are companions to each other as are Bella and Edward. Saying this though, I think Stephenie said her self that Edwards story is longer so for me that means MS will be marginally better than Twilight. Any book in the series that keeps me reading longer is a plus!
