I really, really, really, really, really, really, hope that they can work out some sort of deal with MUSE. After all Stephanie thanks them the most for giving her inspiration with their songs and I just don't think it will be the same without a song from them in it! The song I most want is "Time is Running Out". Everytime I hear that song I think of Edward. I am excited to see who they get and I think the music is totally going to rock! But, I have yet to hear MUSE mentioned. I don't know if they've already said no or what, but I hope they have not. They're kinda big so it may cost a lot to get the rights to use them, but I hope they do! Fingers crossed!

Oh ya! I'm right there with ya! I would hope that this can happen! But I don't know how all of this works! So I just keep hoping, but not expecting, ya know? I don't want to be disapointed if they aren't on the soundtrack! But I think they should be! I love Time is Running Out too! So powerful! And Sing FOr Absolution!!! WOW! I love Muse!!! _________________

I completely agree. I can't think of Twilight without thinking of Muse, and vice versa. _________________ ~Amber~

I liked Muse from ages ago- but now I do sort of consider it my "twilight" music.
I've got Map of the Problematique on constant repeat right now. _________________ Thanks to Twilight, I have unrealistic expectations in men.

Ok this is REALLY stupid but I have to ask...
"Time is Running Out": who's point of view is that supposed to be? Stephenie said she listened to that song a log while writing Twilight and I get the feeling many believe it's an Edward song but if you listen to the lyrics it's more akin to Bella.

I always thought it was Edward but you're right I do think it could fit with Bella also. _________________ "I prefer brunettes.” — Edward Cullen

I always thought it was in relation to both of them at different points.
This part is about Edward (from Bell's perspective):
I think I'm drowning
asphyxiated
I wanna break this spell
that you've created
you're something beautiful
a contradiction
I wanna play the game
I want the friction
This part is about Bella (From Edward's perspective):
I wanted freedom
bound and restricted
I tried to give you up
but I'm addicted
now that you know I'm trapped sense of elation
you'd never dream of
breaking this fixation
And the rest can just be said between the two of them.
That's just my take on it. _________________ Thanks to Twilight, I have unrealistic expectations in men.

|

A song from "Hullabaloo" that I always thought was compelling as a movie add-in (and now it could find a rightly home with "Twilight") is "The Gallery". It's completely dramatic, foreboding, and eerie; a wonderful setup for the scene where James and Bella are at the dance school.
Otherwise I just really enjoy their music and I'm glad SM was so inspired by it. _________________ "I *need* you to understand. I won't lose you, Bella. Not for this."
Jacob had become a part of me, and there was no changing that now.

I agree. I have loved Muse for ages. Ever since I read Twilight I associate them so much with it now. Loving them already and then having them as part of this series, it is now an absolute MUST for them to have SOME song in the film(s). If that happened my sensory overload... well, yeah, I already know I am totally going to pass out in the theater as is... _________________ "I prefer brunettes." - Edward Cullen

I spend a lot of free time watching muse in concert on youtube. lol.
My absolute favorites are: Sunburn, Hysteria, Map of the Problematique, Pretty much ALL of Matt's Piano Interludes, Screenager, Sing for Absolution, Time is Running Out (of course), Plug in Baby, New Born,
Oh who am I kidding, I love them all.
Sunburn, Screenager, New Born, Map of the Problematique, and In your World are all pretty much played over and over and over again in my CD Player.
Okay I might start gushing. _________________ Thanks to Twilight, I have unrealistic expectations in men.

I've been doing that lately, too. Muse is just great. There could be some kind of rock opera completely based on their songs, and it would be sold out in minutes.
Time Is Running Out, Hysteria, and maybe Unintended would be good choices.
