I will hopefully be in CA for July 4th this year. It is going to be so nice to have a vacation finally - we haven't gone on one in 3 years! _________________

Please remember if you are boating or going on the water at all to have a life jacket for EACH person aboard your craft. I used to remind customers when I worked at a major store to carry vests. There were many unhappy tourists getting ticketed and far too many preventable accidents. You may feel safe in your abilities but do you have the same confidence in others on the water? _________________

considering it is the one day off i will probably get this summer there is two options...
1. if it is raining which will probably happen knowing our weather LOL i will stay home then go to a bbq.
2. if it nice then go breakfast, parade, find my mother and then to the bbq.
we have not had fireworks the past few years because of the weather. so who knows till i wake up that day LOL _________________

My little town does an AWESOME job for the 4th. We start on the 3rd with a Rodeo and then a family in town invites EVERYONE (8,000 people last year) to his house (horse fields) for an amazing fireworks display (kid you not, it competes with the Stadium of Fire.)
Then on the 4th there is a parade (and half marathon) in the morning, a Buffalo BBQ lunch and Scottish Highland games and bagpipers in the park, then another evening rodeo and then the town sets off their firework display.
And then my husband, baby and I have a bonus of living on the hill that overlooks the whole town...so we sit back and enjoy on the deck with friends and family until about midnight. It's the perfect little family tradition.

We head to a friend's house for backyard swimming, a BBQ and a nightly firework show. We always tend to eat and drink too much! _________________ -“I can’t imagine how awful that must feel. Being normal? Ugh.” — Bella

We'll probably do a family party during the day. My daughter is still scared of fireworks so I'll probably put her to bed and enjoy them from my window. My cousin is getting married the next day so we'll party then.
