Is Cam the Next Brad Pitt?

Well, I did no most of them existed before they were cast for the movie. Cam I have seen in the O.C. for example...

Well, I did no most of them existed before they were cast for the movie. Cam I have seen in the O.C. for example...

I am like you, I knew about most of them before they were in the movie. I think now, though, people will know them better. Especially the ones who have only done television or have had small film roles here and there.

Okay--I should change my statement a bit as my point was totally blown out of the water--as it should have been, I might add, because it was totally loopy--the TRUE test, is how Cam does AFTER Twilight. I just doubt he'll take off as quickly as someone like Brad did. Maybe I'm just thinking that because he's the bad guy (and often is)? Many bad guys, even sexy ones, just aren't given much of chance. Can he ever be a hearthrob like Brad? Can he ever be versitile enough to play a leading hero man too? We shall see!

As a side statement, I must admit that Rob Pattinson wasn't nearly as interesting to me before when he was just Cedric Diggory as is he to me now when he's all of sudden EDWARD CULLEN, for goodness sakes. Maybe there's hope for Cam yet! :wink:

Honestly, the only ones I had heard of was Robert, Kristen and Peter. I hadn't heard of Cam at all until Twilight came along.

I agree. We'll have to wait and see if Cam is of the same calibre as Brad. Yes, they look similar (I'd never noticed until the comparision on pg. 1.. they're both *woah* HOT), but Brad Pitt is.. charismatic? Don't know if that's the right word... but he's different. I've seen Cam in the OC and he did a very good job, but he'll have to prove that he's not just another pretty face. If he pulls James off well, he might very well be on his way to being the next Brad Pitt.

THANK YOU , LadyNoreh! That's EXACTLY what I was trying to say earlier. It's not that I'm slamming on Cam in any way, but Brad Pitt is one-in-a-million in the looks/acting department--not that I condone anything in his personal life. He just has IT. Right now, Cam is just a pretty face (pretty body, pretty inhaling thing :lol:

, etc.) As for anything more, we'll just have to wait and see.

I love me some Cam, but man oh man, nobody can ever replace Brad in my oppinion.

I knew who Cam, Kristen, Robert, and Edi were but that's it --- Cam plays an amazing bad guy - he is going to be really fun to watch!

I think Cam is going to be one of those actors who seems to probably play bad guys better than he would a good one. I loved him in Never Back Down and I managed to catch some of season three of the O.C. where he played another bad type guy.

See, that's the difference between Brad and Cam. So far, one can play absolutely anything or anybody. The other one--who even tried out for the part of Jasper--or was it Edward?--got cast as James the Bad Guy. So far, the only thing I've ever seen him play is that type.

Also, Brad has had more of a chance to apply himself to different roles. Which is what I love about him because he can adapt to any role. I also think if Cam can get big enough, he might be able to do the same thing too.

He has another movie coming out this year I believe and I saw on his IMBD page that he is currently working on another film and has been signed on to another. So we will get to see...as all of you have said....what it is he can do outside of Twilight now and if he can make a bigger name for himself.

I also thought he looked a lot like Brad the first time I saw him. I'm not sure who's hotter, but hey - I have enough room in my heart for both :wink:

. My middle daughter was next to me when I was checking out Cam's pic the first time and I don't know what the look on my face was, but she took one look at me and wailed, "Mooooom! Ew! Don't get all mushy!" lol. I love the shirtless pic on Stephenie's website. Mmmmmm.
