OK. I'm rereading the book right now and I just read the part where she comes back from the raid to get the medicine for Jamie. The first thing Ian asks is if Wanda is ok. Isn't that awesome! He's not mad that they left, he just wants to know if she's alright. Love it!

Yeah! Ian is my favorite (Jamie, Uncle Jeb and Wanderer are close behind). He truly came to love Wanderer in the most pure way. It was so refreshing. Even though Wanderer is not "HOT" for him, I believe their love will stay steady and continue to burn. I am sure out of this some hotness will develope along the way.

Go team Ian!!!

Ok, since I thought Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost) could play Jared, then I think Henry Cavill could play Ian :) Thoughts anyone?

I am Team Ian all the way. I was dying when he told Wanderer
that Melanie was pretty but it wasn't the face but the expressions on it, and it wasn't the voice but what she said that he loved. awww!

I did loved all the bickering between he and Jared. I also loved the part when he told Jamie to tell Jared he was shameless.

I'm so in love with Ian!

I read the book and seriously from the start of the "capture" I was hoping that he and Wanda would end up together! they seem to equal each other out! and he cares for her so much... in everything he does while Jared is on the raid just makes you look at him and wanna hug him. he goes from this really aggressive guy toward Wanda to being aggressive to anyone that is that way towards her! it truly made my heart melt and Love him all the more!

this book had me weeping openly... but I loved it. I think it would be awesome if Stephenie made it into a movie! i would truly love to watch it!

I think Ian falls in love with Wanda pretty quickly. I wonder if he felt a connection with her once he stopped being aggressive towards her. Any thoughts?

I always assumed that one that first flash of anger was gone, he started to see Wanda for who she really was.
I think the connection he felt, at first, was more of a protective thing....that turned into a love thing.
DOes thta make sense?

Makes perfect sense! He gradually fell in love, or something like that.

Stephenie said when she was here in Houston for the signing that she pictured James McAvoy as the perfect Ian... so that's all I pictured when i was reading the book.. i love James McAvoy... I'm sooo glad that Wanda ended up with Ian.. he was so sweet!!! :D

Thats who I pictured as well. I wondered if my lust for James caused me to love Ian.

i know... i love James McAvoy.. he just looks like the sweetest overprotective guy ... so much like Ian.

I know this subject was droped about 4 pages ago but I Just caught up with you guys and have to say that I am a HUGE James McAvoy fan. He has a new movie comming out at the end of June called "Wanted" and he has definitely been working out. Do you guys see Ian with the whole Irish accent? Soooo cute.
I have to admit that I was so consumed by the emotions of this book that my heart was on the most amazing roller coaster ride. I had to take breaks and come back to reality so I wouldn't be totally consumed

Why didn't Ian see what Wanda was doing at the end of the book? I would think that he would put the pieces together once Wanda started taking the souls out.

Ian was deifinitely a deep character. i felt he had so much to lose when wanderer decided she was going to give up Melanie's body. he had falen in love with her so hard and so fast. and what is even more amazing about this human, is he actually wasn't interested in the shel, aslong as he could have wanda. he was able to see the difference. the body was just a body when it came to Ian, he loved her just the same when Wanda was later a small, tiny, innocent girl, and no longer a tough, rugged, strong, independant woman. i love ian, he is an amzing man, a deep character, and even more of an protector for the soul he had fallen in love with.

TEAM IAN!

I can't help but imagine that part of him did realize what Wanda was intending, but he just couldn't see her doing it because he believed that Wanda loved him too much to do that. So when it came out that she was actually going to do it, it shocked him that Wanda would consider doing this to him.

Ian is my favorite too, I have been dying to talk about him for weeks and I pictured Henry Cavill the entire time I read this book, sorry. Tall dark, blue eyes, fit, good at sports but in there late 20's yep I had Henry in my mind the whole time.

I agree with everything you said about him, he steals this book away from Jared. He was a bit of a jerk in my opinion. But own well. Go team Ian! We should make a name for ourselves. hehe!

My mom will be all over this one!!! mmmm, Henry -- Ian, not bad! :D

Lucky Wanderer!
