The language didn't bother me at all. I feel it was true to life and let's face it, most teen boys or girls do not want to read stuff they cannot relate to.

I really need to pick this one up!

I'm currently reading this; almost finished!
I originally picked this up from the library for my almost 13 year old son and soon discovered it was a little too advanced (language and discussion of masturbation!). I am finding it quite hilarious, though, and I've actually read parts of it to both my sons --- good method as I can edit as I go.

its a very easy read Laurie, just pick it up and you will be done in no time.

I liked seeing a Native American's pov, unedited. It was so interesting to see how they view the outside world, white people, and to see their lack of hope for a better future. I was shocked at how hopeless their lives must be. This book definitely won't be a favorite of mine, but I did learn quite a bit.

What's with the double underlined words in some of these posts? In my previous post "better world" is underlined. I don't think I did that! What's up?
