I know that I'm way behind...I just started reading and obsessing about Twilight a few weeks ago...but I just read the first chapter of Midnight Sun on the Twilight website and I have to say that my heart is literally pounding out of my chest!!!

I have no doubt in my mind that when this book finally hits the shelves it will be the most popular book in the Twilight series.

I think I was twitterpatted....is that the word used for Twilight fans???? I loved that chapter and can't wait for the whole shebang. I just want to know what he was thinking, sitting there watching Bella sleep......

I like twitterpatted....I think I've been twitterpatted since I picked up the first book, and that was 2 months ago. I agree that MS gives us what we want most: all Edward, all the time.

After you've read NM, make sure you read the outtake from SM's page where Rosalie called to tell him about Bella.

I agree totally, Moonlight Mistress, I think MS will be a huge hit because what does everyone love about the Twilight Series? Edward!!
It's a book all from Edward's POV. How can it not be HUGE?

Midnight Sun also gives us so much more of what Edward was really thinking. His struggles, his pain, you gain such and understanding for it that it makes him a fuller character for the rest of the books. We love Bella, she is human which is the side of the world that we are all used to. We know about being human. To find out what it's like to be a vampire is very exciting, especially about this particular vampire!

I was so shocked at how he literally was going to kill her that first day. He was plotting how much time it would take to take out the whole room of students. That was pretty intense. You see how much self control he must have to go from that to being able to hold her in his arms. He loves his Bella, that's for sure.

The first time I read it I felt the same. What a shocker to think of him killing all those people. You're right, his self control is tremendous. But then is there anything Edward can't do well?

yeah, i didn't imagine it to be that intense. to think that he nearly killed everyone just to get to bella. and all that plotting going on inside his head! i'm sure this must have gone on beyond the first chapter. reading the MS sneak preview just made me empathize with edward's struggle even more upon revamping twilight. and yes, only true love could have lent him that much self control over his baser needs and insticts. ~le sigh~~

I loved what you said about 'all the plotting going on in his head.' I hope MS is going to be sooooooo long just to accommidate all his thinking. I can't wait to read every page.

yup, stephenie already said that MS will definitely be longer because edward is a much more complex character. i just hope she makes MS really, really long!! i hope she takes pity on us. . .
