I love being able to tell fans about MS! Yes, SM is writing the book. She says that she only about half way done (you know how Edward thinks a whole lot.) She says that after the tours for BD then she will have more time to write it. But don't just take it from me, go to SM website and look under the Twilight Series and read it for yourself.

I agree, I'm pretty sure Edward was very aware of Jake's dad but I don't think Edward had any idea that Jake would turn. Remember in the same above scene when Edward told Bella to be cautious because the child (Jake) didn't know anything? Anyway, like you I really can't wait to get Edward's first thoughts on Jake and the Quileutes or Edward's thoughts on anything for that matter.

I can't wait to see the meadow of course and I'd love to hear what he thinks when he brings Bella home, and what's going on from his POV when James, Laurent and Victoria show up. This might be a stupid question but is SM keeping Midnight Sun's references just to Twilight, or will she expand it some to include some happenings from the other books too?

I do this too. I love reading the first chapter from Bella's perspective, and then going back and reading Edward's. I can not wait for the whole book to come out. To be in Edward's head for all that time. For me that will be heaven.

yeah, i didn't imagine it to be that intense. to think that he nearly killed everyone just to get to bella. and all that plotting going on inside his head! i'm sure this must have gone on beyond the first chapter. reading the MS sneak preview just made me empathize with edward's struggle even more upon revamping twilight. and yes, only true love could have lent him that much self control over his baser needs and insticts. ~le sigh~~ |
My thoughts exactly! I would have never imagined that all that was going through his head. To go from knowing he's just wanting to kill her, to see it from his perspective and seeing him make the instant plan on how to kill 18+ people in a second. It's quite shocking to see that, and you see how great his control really is. And how far he's come, because at the end of Eclipse, her blood does not even bother him at all anymore.
I'm dying to know what he's thinking. Bella and Jacob are pretty easy to read, but Edward is more of a mystery. I want to know his perspective of the first night he watched Bella sleep, what he hears her say in her sleep, and what he thinks of while he's waiting for her.

So my friend and I were reading the first chapter of Midnight Sun again and we found the most excellent passage, when he is trying to hold his breath to keep from inhaling her scent
Uncomfortable, but manageable. More bearable than smelling her and not
sinking my teeth through that fine, thin, see‐through skin to the hot, wet,
pulsing— An hour! Just one hour. I must not think of the scent, the taste.
I mean SWOOOON. just read that and maybe read it again and then think about what their first kiss, first touch will be like from his POV. I will own more than one copy of MS.

How often does one get to be in the mind of the other central character? I cannot wait till MS comes out and after reading the first chapter that Stephenie teased us with, I will need a box or two of tissues next to me when I read this. I'm already infatuated with Edward and this will only cement the feelings more. My fantasies have been so much more fun since I became a Twilight newbie! sigh.............

MS is going to be amazing! I just read the chapter for the second time, and I can't wait for the book. It is going to be intense! I wonder how many times I will revamp the others while waiting? Being in Edward's head for a whole book is going to be crazy!
