Did you fall right away, or was it more like how Bella did?
One day you're just finding yourself reading all the good Jacob stuff?

My first read thru, it took me untill the tent scene in Eclipse to go oh! I have really come to like this guy.
The second read thru- When he first shows up in New moon - OH, I really like this guy.
and so on and so on, to now I love him -almost- as much as Edward.

I really had to work to like Jacob. I tried and tried to like him but he just kept making me so angry. It wasn't until my 3rd revamp of NM that I finally began to see the wonderfulness that is Jacob.

Even now he still makes me angry but I can see how good he is through my anger- does that make sense?

I don't know if I ever "fell" for Jacob. I look at him as a sweet but sometimes annoying kid brother. I love him to death, just not in the same way I love Edward. I liked his character from the beginning (when Bella first meets him at La Push) and I sympathized with him throughout New Moon and Eclipse. My heart even broke for him, at times. I truly want Jacob to find happiness. Just not with Bella. And I'd like him to grow up a little bit. I think taking on the role as Alpha might be what he needs to help him do that. And imprinting. Jacob definitely needs to imprint!

I immediately felt for Jacob, even on my first read of Twilight. I did not love him yet, but I felt for him. Once I started New Moon and as soon as Bella and Jake were hanging out I was smitten. He is SO wonderful to her. I have always been a Jacob lover I guess. I seriously feel my gut wrench every time it talks about his face twisted with pain over Bella. Oh poor sweet Jacob!

Like Gypsy, I fell hard and fast for sweet little Jacob. At the beach when Bella first meets him he is easy going and cool and funny (kinda like my hubby) and he keeps getting better and better.

Definitely on my second read of New Moon! Each time I read it I love him more and more!

Gypsy, you're the best. Jacob would be lucky to have you!!!


I think I fell for Jacob during the second read thru, when I could concentrate on things other than the storyline.

And he has beautiful long black hair... don't forget his beautiful hair, or his russet skin... or his brilliant white smile *sigh*

Oh, believe me, I haven't forgotten, after all he is sort-of beautiful!

Of course, I'm still a newbie (only read the series twice and only since about mid-December).

From what I gather it's a slow-burn kinda thing (liking Jacob).

I fell for Jacob immediately---first reading. I felt exactly like Stephenie said she felt and I felt EXACTLY like Bella. I absolutely loved Edward....ooooh his perfectness and his body and his lips and I could go on and on. I never loved Jacob more than Edward and I would ALWAYS choose Edward for Bella. If she had chosen Jacob in Eclipse I'm not sure what I would have done, however, I bawled my eyes out when I read their "real" kiss. When she did realize she loves him and sees the life she is giving up. And then a bawled again when she was in his bedroom telling him about what she saw....their children, etc. and I totally felt his pain. One of the first things I EVER posted on this site is how much I love Jacob Black! Love, love, love him but will still ALWAYS choose Edward for Bella and at the same time I absolutely love Edward!!!! I feel like I completely understand the way Stephenie wanted people to feel (everyone is different, of course) so maybe not the way she wanted people to feel but the way she felt and Bella felt...when Bella talks about the smaller piece of her heart breaking away...that is exactly what I felt!...Now I'm the one rambling!!

Like Gypsy i have always been a jacob lover. He is so funny an sweeet. I do want him to be happy but not with Bella.
I think him an gypsy would be great together

from the very begining I had a soft spot for him, but I agree with knickers, I want him to be happy, but not with bella, gypsy is the best choice for him , we should tell steph. to add her in BD for jacob...LOL

Brilliant plan ladies! OR... Steph, you could just write a whole other series about Jacob and Gypsy... They would be destined to become classics... perhaps becoming even more wildly popular than Twilight!
