Hello from DC

Hi everyone,

My name is Alma and I am almost 49 years oldand work at the Library of Congress. Technically we live in Maryland but it is so close to the DC border that it is just easier for us to tell people we live in DC. I was introduced to the Twilight serier through my daughter, Sara. She is 24 years old and got addicted to the books after the children she works with intriduced them to her. I am a strong supporter of team Edward while my daughter is the leader of team Jacob. I love to talk to her about the books, they seem to have made us closer.

I have been luck enough to meet Stephenie Meyer twice. First in Fairfax, VA and then in Portland, OR. If any of you were at the Portalnd signing, my daughter was the one who asked Stephenie if any of her brothers were single. At first Sara did not want to write her name on the question card because she thought Stephenie would think she was crazy. However, being the loving mother that I am i snatched the card out of her hand and wote her name on it. At first she wanted to kill me, but after the question was answered she loved me for it. It also made for an interesting time as we went through the autograph line. The lady passing Stephenie the books saw that my Sara's shirt said she was from DC so she told Stephenie. Stephenie actually talked to my daughter for a couple of mintues and it made Sara's life (or so she tells me).

I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Stephenie in NY. My daughter and I plan to make a little trip out of it. Hopefully this time I will be the one lucky enough to come up with a question that Stephenie will answer. Hope to see all of you there Very Happy
