Is your daughter in Nevada and has to drive all the way up, or does she live in Portland area already? That is so exciting!!! I think they are really getting all the extra's cast now. It seems like I am hearing of more and more people in it everday!!!

Congrats to your daughter! Very exciting.

The film company is doing what most companies do and that's sign actors to a 2 sequel deal, so if the movie takes off they have people signed. It's how they managed to get Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3 made. They can then go to the author and say, "we'd really like to do this, look how well we did with the first one..."

What they can't do is actually create a script or beyond until they are given the right to do so.

This is wonderful. It will be like 6 degrees of seperation. We will all say that we know somebody who worked on the movie and they will be our connection to all the wonderful actors! Too Cool! Congrats!

This exciting hearing about all of the different scenes they're casting! I signed up when it was first announced that Extras Only would be handling the extras (around the time the Jacob call was announced). I look pretty young and was cast for the Biology Class, but was later cut due to Catherine Hardwicke wanting that group to be smaller.

But I'm not bitter.

I am now being considered for Cafeteria scenes(set to shoot March 25, 26, 28 at what I'm guessing is Madison HS), which is almost better because EVERY star except for the older cast members will be there. But worse because I'll be lucky if I can even spot myself in the film. Who cares Rob will be there and that's all that matters.

That is so awesome that you are going to be in the cafeteria scene. Seriously, the biology class would have been cool, but now you get to be in the scene with almost all of the Cullens and Bella with her friends

I was an extra in the Blues Brothers movie, you can't see me, I know where i was and had the best day of my young life, watching everything and being apart of it, being in the same room with John and Dan (yep first names we are).
You will have this memory forever and ever, seeing everyone in person - up close, maybe smelling Edward (I can't take it) and when people talk about the movie you can tell them you were the STAR.....
