The way you wrote that is laugh out loud funny - thanks for a great laugh. You made my day.

I went to school with a girl named Precious. Her older sister's name was Alpha. But worse was my sister's ex whose name was "Great". His younger brother was "Lord". Great Lord.... Yeah I'm seriously not making this up! It was, for a while, awkward to call after Great in the hallways, or even just talking to him casually. "Oh great, Great. Get Lord's butt over here cuz he has some explaining to do!" As much as people didn't want to take the Lord's name in vain, Lord made it rather difficult sometimes.

It goes well with that person misconduct went to school with--Highly Divine. Maybe they could go on a blind date, get married, and have twins Amazing and Grace.

   That would be hilarious! But after what Great and Lord had to go through, I'm sure they wouldn't want to have their kids go through the same thing. It's torture growing up, and when you're all grown up, it's still torture to have to explain to co-workers that your name really is Great.

Filipinos can be very humorous, but it might be a good idea to stop and think before naming their kids. The Chinese-Filipinos just have a BALL naming their kids. Here are some I've heard of:

Genghis Chan
Edgar Allan Peh
John Fitgerald Ke

I had a Vietnamese coworker once whose husband named their firstborn son Suva. It was an acronym for Super Unique Very Alert. It really fit him, too. Suva. It has a nice sound. I don't know if it also has a meaning in Vietnamese.

Last year there were two trouble-makers at our school--one had the last name Pope and one had the last name Lord. We called them the "Holy Terrors."

I don't know if there is a Vietnamese meaning attached to it, but I know Suva is the capital of Fiji  So they really named him with an acronym? Now that's creative!

I knew a brother and sister called Regan and Megan McMeekan (pronounced Ree-gen and Mee-gen Mickmeekin) - I felt so bad for them, they were't even twins.

Not so much funny, but I new a brother and sister called Erik and Erika.....I was like....ummm why?

And my friend dated this guy once whose name was Free, I kinda liked that. And my friend just named her baby boy Hendrix, which is kinda cool.

My son's teacher last year was Mrs. Meaney. She is the nicest person ever!!

My husband went through officer candidate school with a guy last name Butt. Imagine when he made Major? Hi. I'm Major Butt! He had heard it all, though. Especially being in the military, poor guy!

I forgot--my husband has another couple of "celebrities" he works with. Well, he just works with the husband, Boris...whose wife is...Natasha!

They're from Russia and they'd never heard of the Rocky and Bullwinkle characters before they got here; they couldn't figure out why people always snickered upon meeting them.

I loved looking at my mom's yearbooks. She went to high school with a girl named Opal Garnet (don't recall her last name, but she went by her first-and-middle), and to college with a boy whose last name was Sauerbelly. I always wondered if he had a lot of stomachaches. There was a boy named Jimmy-James, after both his grandfathers (Jim and Jim).

I know a woman who was married to two different men named Paul (at different times), and had a son by each. Each dad wanted his boy named after him....

Other's I've seen: a Clare Clore. And a Dora Close.

The military can be a goldmine for funny names. My son knows a Sgt. Sargeant and a friend of mine was in the Air Force with a Major Minor and a Captain Fast (yep, a pilot). I knew a girl in ROTC named Julie Schwinghammer, which seemed appropriate in our Military History class....

I went to high school with a family named Duckworth and the going joke was,
Q: "What's a Duckworth?"
A: "Oh, about two bills."
