Me too! That six-week period of Edward ignoring Bella is going to be awesome in MS! I may read it more than the meadow scene . . . no, I don't think I have read anything more than the meadow scene!

You know, I was thinking about this subject the other day and I thought, I wonder if the Cullens' have any pets. I'm thinking something like birds or some such that they wouldn't really be tempted to drain. Do you think it would be too much temptation?

We must remember that when they had that fight that the other vampires probably didn't know that Edward was also attracted to Bella. I think they knew that she smelled really good to Edward but NOT that he liked her. At that point, I don't think he knew he liked her. Remember, at the hospital Bella asked him why he even saved her and Edward said, "I don't know."

I think once Esme knew that Edward liked Bella then she changed her tune as did they all except for Rosalie.

I have to agree. That first night he got to hear her say his name must have been awesome for him! I think the next night he would have loved too. Remember he asked her out, then had lunch with her, then took her to the nurses office and then later took her home. I bet her dreams were much more verbose that night!

Midnight Sun is an obsession of my son and I both. We can't stop reading the first chapter. I wanted to comment on Esme. I thought I read someone thought that when Esme told Edward in Twilight he needed to do what ever he needed to do, that they thought she ment even if that ment killing Bella. I don't think that is the case. I think she ment, he may need to leave. Does anyone think she ment he needed to go to leave Forks?

I was thinking about this one overnight. Ofcourse I think we are going to see a violent Edward, thats already indicated in the first chapter. His plans for the students deaths in the classroom, how he goes about it. The incident with Mrs. Cope and how his hand suspended in air, he could easily reach across and "slam" her head against the desk and kill her. How he had made the decision the let Bella live for just an hour or too more. The condemed girl. Steph let Rob see the manuscript for MS that he thought was 3/4 done to help him understand Edward and said he thought of him as not that great guy if you really knew his thoughts. Even when we get into confessions and their more intimate relationship, we will see a more violent side to our dear Edward throughout the whole book, it's to be expected, he's a vampire.

Another point that will be interesting. When he keeps insisiting Bella tell Charlie where she will be and how he must have still be teatering on to kill or not to kill her.
