Okay, so I make a yummy concoction in the crock pot. Credit really should go to my grandmother... she invented it. It really has no name...

What you do is this:

Layer in your crock pot the following ingredients. ( I don't have exact amounts... I just layer it all

Thin sliced pork loin chops lightly seasoned with Salt and pepper
Chopped or sliced onion
Cream of Mushroom Soup
FRESH sprigs of rosemary (enough for a couple per layer)

I usually layer these till there are about 4 layers... depending on how many people you are feeding you can do more or less.

Cook in your crock pot till it is all bubbly and the pork is falling apart (YUM)
Remove what is left of the rosemary sprigs, and serve the mixture over top of mashed potatoes... Not exactly healthy, but OH so delicious and easy! Cooking it this way leaves a really nice gravy for the meat and mashed potatoes.

Ta DAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Love that recipe, *gypsy wings*! I'll have to try that!

I LOVE the crock put but only use for a couple of things--I'd love to see more crock recipes here!

1. 3 pounds frozen boneless chicken breasts, 2 packets taco seasoning, 1 can chicken broth--cook on low all day, then shred easily with two forks and serve with flour tortillas, lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc. for yummy chicken tacos!

2. 3 pounds frozen boneless chicken breasts, 1 bottle barbecue sauce--cook on low all day, then shred easily with two forks and serve on hamburger buns with mayo, pickles, and onions for Texas style barbecue chicken sandwiches.

I make this all the time because it takes all of 2 minutes to throw in the crock pot and everyone I've served it to loves it and asks for the recipe.

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (you can even throw them in frozen)
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 C. salsa
1/4 C. water (use less, or none if your chicken is still frozen)

Cook 4-5 hours on High, or 8-10 hours on Low. Near the end of cooking stir it and it kind of shreds on its own. Serve on tortillas with lettuce; cheese; tomatoes; etc.

Oooh, I hate that schedule! We're finally on the 9:30-12:30 after two years on that late one.
Here's a couple of easy crock-pot recipes:

Cream Cheese Chicken
1 pkg. Italian salad dressing mix
1/2 c. butter (I usually put in half this)
6 cooked, cubed chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

Cook on Low 8 hours. Serve over rice.

French Dip
3 lb. rump roast
1 onion, chopped
1 pkg. au jus gravy mix
2 cans beef broth
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover. Cook on Low 8-10 hours. Remove roast and shred. Return to slow cooker to heat through until ready to serve. Serve on toasted French rolls with the juice as dipping sauce.

All of these recipes look SOOO good!

Here is a variation on the taco ones...

Take one rump roast (or a bunch of chicken breasts) brown it in a pan, then toss it in your crock pot with 2 cans enchilada sauce, 1 can beef broth (or chicken) and 1 packet of taco seasoning. Cook all day, then shred up the meat.... serve in taco shells or tortilla's with all your taco fixings and enjoy. This is SOOOO good!

Hey, I fill my crock pot with boneless/skinless ckn breasts and then dump in between half and a whole jar of salsa, depending on how big the crock pot is. Put it on high for 3 hours or so, or low all day, and then shred with the two forks. I usually pick a dinner that night I like it for, but then I seperate the rest into freezer bags and freeze it to use later for enchiladas, soup, anything. It is so nice to run to my freezer and have AWSOME salsa chicken ready to go.

I do this exact same thing, but then after shredding it i add a few cans of black or pinto beans (sometimes both(rinsed of course)) and one or two cans of mexi corn (regular corn works too) and about 3 teaspoons chilli powder (I add Cayanne too, but that's optional) then i serve it as Chicken Chilli.

Here's my favorite
Creamy Italian Chicken

4 Chicken Breasts
1 pkg dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
1/4 Cup of Water
Place Chicken in Crockpot, Mix Salad Dressing Mix and water together and pour over chicken.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-6 hours.
One hour before eating mix together:
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 oz. of softened cream cheese
4 oz. can of mushrooms drained (optional)
Pour over top of chicken and continue cooking for 1 hour.
Serve over rice or noodles.

LOVE all the recipes!!! Here is one..it's similar but a teeny bit different

Italian Cream Cheese Chicken
5-6 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 pkg Italian dry season mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Place chicken in crock pot. Place brick of cream cheese on top. Mix soup and seasoning together; pour over chicken and cream cheese. Cook on low all day (6-8 hours). Serve over rice or pasta.

Also...like a stroganoff but with chicken

5-6 chicken breasts
1 tub sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms
You can also add onions...or whatever..be creative!

Throw in crockpot...cook on low all day and serve over rice or pasta.

I have heard that this is a delicious thread! I just got some good ideas.

If you haven't tried Tri-tip roasts, they are delicious. For a pot roast style, I put one in with a little season salt and pepper, a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, a can of Campbell's Golden Mushroom or Cream of Mushroom soup and cook on low until it falls apart. Serve with potatoes and carrots. Yum!

I'll try to think of some more that I haven't seen here. Very Happy
