And also, I dont think the strike will happen. If it gets really close to that i can see some sort of news commentator or someone else who is well respected in the entertainment community to tell those actors to get off their high horses and realize that though they make GOOD money doing what they do others involved in the matter would take a huge financial blow that they might not be able to recover from.

The writers strike cost California's economy a couple billion I think, can you imagine what a SAG strike would do?

I think so. I think that marisa731 said that it usually comes out about two weeks before. So, that would be about another week and a half. I can't wait!

Hi. I'm an incredibly new newbie and I'm so excited I found this page!

Is anyone making plans to get together on Wednesday night? I'll be flying in on Wednesday and would love to meet up with some TMs.

We've talked about meeting early thursday morning but I am not sure about Wed night- sounds good to me though. My daughter and I are going to the Convention Center Wed night to look around and to make sure we know where to go early the next morning. There is a list going around with every ones phone numbers and stuff so we can all keep in touch when we get there. PM me and I will give you all the info.

No news on the strike... sounds like it's all up in the air at the moment. The AFTRA deal is July 8th, so we will probably know more near that date. Our economy really couldn't handle another strike at this point, and people know that.

PS... I'm really taken back by all the negativity on here lately.

I read somewhere they need to get "strike authorization" and that takes about 3 weeks, so depending, maybe it would push to AFTER Comic-Con??? Maybe....

NEWS NEWS NEWS!!!! YAY!!!

"As the big media moguls' deal with the actors' unions is set to expire today, no strike is in place.

The Screen Actors Guild has announced that it is not planning a walkout - as of now - and that it intends to stay at the bargaining table in good faith."
