Breaking Dawn in Chicago--Road trip?

Is anyone interested--duh, I mean, does anyone think they could make it work to go to Chicago for the Breaking Dawn release party on Aug 5?

I've made the trip a few times--its about 7 hours. I know you can get some really good hotel rates if you stay by the airport and take the L train into the city.

I was thinking of leaving early early Tuesday morning, staying the night, and leaving for home early Wednesday morning.

Any takers? (Please, please, please? I can't go alone!) Oh, I was at the MOA Host signing with the TM shirt with Red shirt underneath, and the green Volvo visor, in case you don't remember who was who.

Hi Forcelle! this sounds really fun - currently, I'm signed up to chaperone a youth trip to Milwaukee that week! Crying or Very sad

However, there are only 3 kids signed up at this time, and with gas prices, etc., it may become too expensive! I hope you get tickets and find some others to go! I'll keep checking!

I am trying really hard to think of a way to go. My sister lives in Aurora (usually an 8 hour drive), so could stay there. I'm more worried about taking off work and gas prices.
To me though, this is really big and worth it. Might have to meet you all out there. Hopefully you can find some Minnesotans to ride with!

Ticket Information:

Tickets go on sale Saturday June 21 at 12 pm, for $20, on-line and by phone. The man I spoke to today said:

1) Tickets are reserved seating. You will get an actual assigned seat for the event. (That means if we want to sit together, someone has to buy tickets for all of us)

2) The best way to get through is on-line, however, he said to try both. Call and be on-line at the same time, and whatever you get through to first, thats your best bet!

3) The most tickets any one person can buy is 4.

I am calling/going on-line Saturday and plan to buy 4 tickets. PLEASE PM ME OR RESPOND HERE BY SATURDAY MORNING IF YOU WANT ONE OF MY THREE!! That pretty much commits you to going, or if you're a maybe but still want a ticket, you can find someone to take your ticket if you end up not being able to go.

YAY!!!!! I am so excited to go! And from meeting you guys on-line, I'm thrilled to go with any one of you!

I really wish i was going to be in town for this event. Unfortunately I will be on vacation. I am only 45 minutes north of the city.

Just wanted to say "Have fun fellow Twilight Moms!" Since I will already be out to Chicago over the 4th, hubby won't let me go to the tour. He says I've already used up all my "Twilight Points" after going to the MOA for the Host tour. HA!
