In any event, I ordered the lanyards and pouches yesterday so they should arrive in plenty of time for me to make them.

no, not too much...just made me want to run off and find my gubby! LOL!
Great to hear it about the lanyards. Hey, I have to say for the record, that you do realize we don't have a budget to buy these things for you, but you could CHARGE US for each one..but you can only charge us cost if it has the Twilight Moms name on it.
If you need help making them, let me know. We need to get together at least one more time before the release party anyway.

Hey there guys! Sounds like Cali-Cat gots the Edward Figure covered, but I still might have some thing in the Edward department as well. We shall see.
Anywho, I have the "Alice Box" just about done, one question, my box doesn't have velvet on it; was that just an idea or is the velvet for the table cloth? My Saturday's for the rest of this month are booked. I can meet up with you all on a Sunday before August or I can just meet up with you Donna one of these evenings.
Hope all is well and I love that the day is getting closer! _________________

it was just an idea to use black velvet....
I am excited to see what you and Calicat end up coming up with! I am so excited about this party, I can hardly stand it!
We will try to schedule the meeting on a Sunday or in the evening....it will ultimately depend on when Dorothy works, though. : ) _________________

5. Chess Games: A few Chess games will be set up in the cafe for players who want to play.
HAVE:
STILL NEED: chess games (Borders will look into this)
6. Wedding activities: Throughout the night, we will have pictures in the wedding area. We are hoping some teenager shows up as Bella in a wedding dress and Edward in a tux. We will have them pose with the cake and take pics. We will hopefully have the Cardboard Robward for the rest of us to pose with. At about 9:30 the Tmoms will cut the cake in the cafe area.
HAVE: photographer (ConfessingCate), cake (jaevenstar), decorations (jlo77's friend Angie), wedding bouquet (bbaron), plastic plates, napkins, forks (tee hee....forks)(forever_bitten)
STILL NEED: Robward (Kirsten), or other cut out (The Hunger),
7. So You're In Love With a Vampire Trivia and Quotes Games: We have a load of trivia questions already. We want lots more. Only a few quotes. We will run this game twice...one at the start of the night (mostly for us) then later when more people arrive. Each correct question answered wins a ticket. (Maybe, if we have enough prizes, the person who has the most tickets at the end of each half hour can get a prize right away.)
HAVE: some trivia questions, some quotes, More trivia questions and quotes (Clara has been working on the quotes, I think charlottesweb30 has more trivia questions) - we have plenty of trivia questions.
NEED: could still use some more quotes, though
8. Pictionary: At 10:00 we will have a rousing game of Pictionary. Winning teams will get tickets.
HAVE: flip charts, markers (Borders)

9. Love is Perfectly Paranormal (Jacob vs. Edward Debate): at 10:30 we will have the great debate. Borders has some topic starters for us. A few more would be helpful. Winners will get tickets (or maybe just reward everyone who participates...rather than trying to declare a winner).
HAVE: a couple debate starters, more debate starters (Donna)- (not necessarily based on Jacob and Edward - in case we don't have enough Jacob supporters there. GO Jacob!)
STILL NEED:
10. Jacob/Bella Bingo: at 9 we will have a BINGO game. (Mostly for us...since the "official" start time is 10pm.) Winners will get tickets.
HAVE:
STILL NEED: Bingo cards, place markers (Calicat originally volunteered for this)
11. Costume Contest/Homemade T-Shirt contest: at 11pm we will have the costume contest. All contestants line up in two lines - costumes and t-shirts. We will judge them using hand clapping/cheering as they walk through the crowd. The winner of the costume contest will get first choice if prizes, t-shirts second choice of prizes (we expect they will choose the autographed books).
12. Prize Drawing/Bouquet Toss: After the costume/t-shirt contest we will start drawing for the rest of the prizes. We will also have the bouquet toss (hopefully done by our dressed up Bella).
HAVE: about 3 rolls of tickets, several prizes
STILL NEED: a few more rolls of tickets (just in case), wedding bouquet (bbaron),
PRIZES we have SO FAR:
2 autographed copies of Eclise (one of them is the SE)
2 signs from Signs and Salvage
3 penguins from bbaron
a necklace and gift card from Calicat
Danglers and SpiderMonkeys from RAINfan
a spa package from glamblover
a necklace from gypsywings
5 Border's t-shirts
bookhooks and bookthongs from Knickers and lulu
first in line
second in line
Borders will also be giving away buttons and stickers
Last but not least, we have two other mini events going on all night long:
1. Twilight Mom's Market Place: We will be able to set up and sell handmade TMom's items. So far we will have items from Signs and Salvage, Gypsywings, CullenFan's buttons, and Knickers and Lulu. We will take turns manning this table.
STILL NEED: TMoms Banner, other vendors (Calicat, Selle, Rubi - vinyl clings, , a money box, and a spreadsheet to keep track of each person's sales.
2. Twilight Moms/Twilight Teens information table: Here we will have available info about TMoms. We will have our bookmarks to give away.
HAVE: Business cards (Donna)
STILL NEED: an e-mail sign up sheet, a comments journal, Red Ribbon for the bookmarks...and someone to cut them out, and assemble them. |

i can bring a comments journal (do we need pens or pencils???) do you have a specific color or a design in mind??? im thinking i can bring a basic one or i can print out a bunch of twilight, new moon, and eclipse stuff and cover it...
i dont know if you have the ribbons for the bookmarks but michaels has those spool' o ribbons in red and theyre cheap like .40 each.
im going to see if i can find some ideas for bingo...if you guys still need them im not sure i think it says that calicat is taking care of it????
also, id like info on the market place. i was thinking of bringing something to sale. i know it has to be related to the books...is the money we earn ours to keep?? is there a fee to sale that evening??

Comments journal - I have nothing specific in mind. It can be a generic notebook or it can be something spruced up and decorated. Just something for people to stop by our table and leave messages for us.
Ribbon - I just txted Boys3Girls0 to find out if she got some already. I have some random ribbon at home, too.
Bingo - Calicat...how is that coming along?
Market Place - The general rule is that you can sell your hand made stuff as long as it isn't something you could buy at Borders - like a book or a CD... It doesn't HAVE to be related to Twilight, but I am sure it would help! LOL! If you have something to sell, be sure to get in touch with me ASAP. (Pm me or e-mail me - juptrstar@aol.com) We are rapidly running out of table space! : )
Dressing up - We are working on TMoms name tags or Lanyards or something that will clearly identify ourselves as TMoms. Therefore you are free to dress up. I STRONGLY encourage you to dress up. If you don't dress up, please wear your TMom's T-shirt, or your own hand-made or professionally made Twilight Related T-Shirt.
Cardboard cut-out: Apparently Summit didn't respond so we are on to Plan B. Calicat and the Hunger are working on Plan B. We will do our very very best to make sure Edward is there SOMEHOW!
Quotes: We are good on Quotes.
Trivia: We are really good on Trivia! (LOL)

CALLING ALL RELEASE PARTY ATTENDEES:
As of July 14th the Boards will be locked which means all communication about the Release Party will have to take place via e-mail. If I don't have your e-mail, you will be left on your own....
I need the following information from you in order to completely organize the night. Please respond with a PM or an e-mail (juptrstar@aol.com) with the following information FOR EACH PERSON in your group who is willing to help out AT THE PARTY... (you do not need to "work" the whole night...but we cannot do this alone...)
1. Real (full) name
2. TMs user name
3. email address
4. availability to work that night. We need to make a schedule of who will be volunteering when, so we know how much help we have and where to assign us that night. Do you plan to help with decorating, helping at the party, and/or clean up after the party. You can pick one or more of these. We just need to know what you can do.
5. when you plan to arrive in town/join us...so we can decide whether to do lunch and/or dinner.
We will add you to our email.
Our next meeting will be mid July when we finalize everything and tie up loose ends.
PLEASE TRY TO HAVE ALL OF YOUR ASSIGNED DUTIES or things you volunteered to do DONE AND READY TO GO BY July 15th. If you are local, please drop them by my house or bring them to the next meeting. If you are out of town, please verify how and when we will get your item(s). I want everything in place as much as possible by mid July.

The lanyards arrived today! I was amazed the badges didn't melt in the 113 degree heat!
I just have to make them now... my plan was to put each person's first name and then their screen ID on the front of the lanyard. I haven't started it yet but obviously they will have the TMs logo on the front as well.
My 14 year old daughter will be there helping too... I guess I will use the twilight teens logo? (She is a member there) Or for consistency use the TM logo?
