AZ TM's & friends the time has come - serious BD plans

Here is what I have gotten from the manager of B&N. The store is not going to close for the party - people will be milling around shopping, drinking Starbucks...whatever. There will be a table set up somewhere & at 10 p.m. they'll start handing out tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. The ticket will determine the order in which we get our books at midnight. The manager (who sounds less than enthusiastic about this whole thing) says there are about 100 reservations for books at this point. If you have a reservation, they will have your name on a list at the table. They will cross you off when you check in, then give you a ticket.

So here are the things:

1. It would be so great if we could all get our books at the same time. This would make it so much easier to just caravan over to my house. I have no problem spending hours at B&N though. And the sooner we get our books, the sooner we can start reading them. So we need to agree upon a time to get there. I'm sending hubby & twins away, so I can be there anytime - what time works for everyone else?

2. I need to get a headcount of who's coming, so it's time to formally commit (that means YOU, Mimi - Mox or Mex? LOL) I'm going to start a list in the 2nd post in this thread.

3. I think the B&N is using the reservation list as a gauge for how many are coming, so you may want to reserve your copies just to help them out. Their number is 623-935-0128.

Do you think its possible to go in the AM and get the ticket and then leave? If so my friend, who has just gotten her log-in (JessikaAZ) could head over before school, or after if we think more like 4-5 as acceptable. I agree arriving together and knowing we can then go right away would be best, I've already told Jess that I can't speak to her in the car as I'll be reading!

You know I am in Mox!! I changed my availability on Fridays at work to be done by 5pm, so I will have plenty of time to get ready and then get there. Just so I know, by reservations, they are counting those if you filled out the slip and put it in the drop box that is on display there right? Because that is what I did a few weeks ago. Very Happy

Cant wait for BD!! It is not coming soon enough!!!!!

Hi Everyone I met you all at the pizza gathering. I really enjoyed meeting you all and I am excited for the next time we all get together this BD party sounds like alot of fun.
