I'm from Illinois near Iowa (the Mississippi is close by). Just wondering if I'm the only mom in this area that loves Twilight!

I'm from Illinois but opposite side of the state. I am actually up near the Wisconsin border near Six Flags.

Just feel good that you are not alone in Illinois!

Thanks! I live near the Quad Cities, so I'd think there would be plenty of "Twilight" moms around...I guess I'll need to do a little hunting around for them Wink

If you lurk around here long enough I am sure you will find them. If not create your own Twilight army. Twisted Evil Lend the book out to everyone you know and then convert them to Twilight lovers. I have done that with a few of my friends.

I only lend out my paperback copy of Twilight and then magically they head to the bookstore to grab NM and EC to finish the series and then add Twilight a little later to have a complete set. Laughing

My daughter is currently trying to get all her friends to read Twilight--she is addicted as I am. I've tried to get my sister interested, she's 26, and loves to read as much as I do. Only problem, I'm so POSSESSIVE of my copy, I don't want to lend it to anyone-not even my sister! I guess I could lend it to her for the greater good of Twilighters far and wide, but I keep thinking what if I need a Twilight fix and she still has it?!

And for the sole reason of lending out my paperback copy of Twilight is why I went out and bought the hard cover edition. Now I don't have to worry about my Twilight fixes inbetween lending out the book.

I am protective with my books as well. I was reading in bed and my husband bent over to kiss me goodnight and he bent my paperback cover of Twilight. I was happy for the kiss, but upset that he bent it and almost wanted to cry!!!! Crying or Very sad

I live in Illinois and 3 hours from Iowa. My aunt has property in Dubuque, Iowa on the Mississippi river. So, I have been to Iowa many times.

Scoobygrl23 and Vampgirl9 I grew up in Moline (IL) and so not too far away from Rockford or Dubuque. I live out in the boonies now about 1/2 hour away from the Quad Cities.
My copy of Eclipse has some juice stains on the pages-I'm assuming that's from my son. He's not real careful of the books-and I'm so protective of them-and it does irritate me-but at least he likes to read. Plus, he loves them almost as much as me (and my daughter).

I am piled under too much snow!! Im in Iowa City. So not too far from you all! I hear there is not that much past Mt. Pleasant. SO HAPPY to hear there is someone at least close by that shares in my "healthy hobby". There are loads of mommies out here who love the books...unfortunately few who would take it to this level. Here's my cyber hug *----( )-----*

I'm in Belvidere, pretty close to Scoobygrl23 actually. I have lent out Twilight once and was anxious the whole time! My neighbor wants to borrow it. And then my sister. Ugh! Maybe I need to get the hardcover now...

Hey Team Edward! It's nice to know there's a Q.C. native on this board. I thought I was the only Q.C. area Twilight mom here. I can't wait to sport my Twilight Mom's t-shirt at Borders when Breaking Dawn comes out and at the Great Escape when the movie premieres. I'll be curious to see if there are any other mom's sporting their Twilight addictions so conspicuously.
