A possible older Jacob..

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but do we know if Taylor Lautner has been contracted to do the other movies? I think he's great for Twilight (although his wig bothers me a bit - couldn't they have given him extensions so that it looked a little more real?) but I would much rather see someone like this guy play Jacob in NM, E and BD.

There is rumor that they are going to keep Taylor Lautner as Jacob, I don't think there is anything official on it...yet.

i really dont see taylor being able to pull off jacob in new moon and eclipse. isnt he supposed to be around 6'7". when i read the books the jacob i see in my head looks nothing like taylor. now if he grows alot between now and when they film it then he will probably make a great jacob. but as of now i think he is just to short. for the first movie he was a great choice. jacob is taller than bella but hasnt gone thru that major growth spurt yet.

They definitely need to find a new Jacob - a taller Jacob - a much taller Jacob - for NM. Your friend certainly looks like he might fit the part! Is he currently a model or actor?

Even though I am not a fan of movie execs changing the actors of characters in subsequent films --- I will say that your friend is HOT and definitely looks like what I'd have pictured for Jacob in NM.

Although it would probably be confusing to the Twilight franchise to get a different actor for Jacob in subsequent movies, I would love to see Steven Strait in the role. I would completely forgive the casting agents if they re-cast just him.

That picture is gorgeous and I could totally see him as Jacob! And what, there was a shirtless pic?! Darn it.

Although I do think Taylor is great for Twilight, if they make the next movies, I just can't seem him in that role. AT ALL. But from everything we've heard, it seems they're planning to use him for any future movies.
