Ironically enough I was introduced to Twilight by young teens. I was so completely and utterly obsessed that I couldn't do with just a borrowed copy. I HAD TO have my own. I couldn't care less what people thought of me buying this "teen" book. In fact it's not uncommon for Twilight fans to have 2 sets of books. One for them to always have within reach, and the other for loaning out.

This is so true for me, I have a "well loved" copy of Twilight that I've underlined my favorite quotes and parts and I will NEVER loan to anyone, and keep it with me at all times...to read at stoplights even.

Also, when I go in a bookstore and find copies of the series hiding in the teen section, I'm so tempted to ask them to pleeease put a display by the front window. As the movie gets closer, I predict retailers will become more enlightened.

I work for B&N in Iowa City and really seems like to me at least that we have jus as many women buying Twilight, etc as teens. We have them on display in 3 different places in our store and when The Host comes out in 2 weeks, we will have 4! My signature pic is our winder display for our Midnight party. Of course, we may be the exception rather then the rule but Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse is 3 of our store's bestseller. I'm sure that has to mainly do with the fact that half of us who work there are obsessed with them. Laughing

This is true for me too.
By the time it's all said and done I'll probably have three copies of each.
Paperback, hardback that is well loved and used to death, and hardback that I'm hoping to have Stephenie sign, which I'll probably build a shrine to (jk).

My husband is reading Eclipse right now, and I'm always telling him to be careful with my "beloved book"!
