I really hope it's not one of the kids...I could live with Maryse dying. It would nice if she died protecting Jace or something. But if it's Alec or Isabelle, I will simply be heartbroken. :( I could see it being Max, trying to be heroic and prove himself. That would be really sad too....but it'd be better than Alec or Isabelle! :|

Oh, who am I kidding! I don't want ANY of them to die! Why??! WHY? *chanting* Please don't be the kids. Please don't be the kids. :(

Well, I think Alec would be the most poetic choice. You know, he's in love with Jace and so he puts his life on the line for Jace's... But I think that would be too obvious, and very, very upsetting. So, I don't know. My guess is that it would be one of the parents.

I would guess it would be one of the parents..perhaps the father. It would absolutely tragic to have Alec, Isabelle, or Max die.

My guess would be Maryse might die. I think it may be in order to protect one of her own children or even Jace.

Ok, I've calmed down a little bit and can think about this rationally. I really think it will be Maryse. She will die defending Jace. That's the only acceptable answer- none of the children can die!

I am laughing to myself at the responses this discussion point has sparked! I had the same reaction when Ms. Clare gave me the question! I was very surprised.

Anyway... I don't know the answer to that question. It reminds me of the whole Harry Potter speculations as to who will die in Book 6.
